" Where are we going Freddie"

"Shopping!"

"Shopping Freddie?"

"Yes, Carolyn, shopping, but first lunch and a nice bottle of Margaux. Terry take us to Le Gavroche"

They pulled up to a nondescript brick townhouse with the name of the restaurant on the door. When Carolyn entered with Freddie she was met with unparalleled splendor. It was the first restaurant in the U. K to be awarded three Michelin Stars.

The maitre d' rushed over to greet Freddie." Welcome back Mr. Mercury, so good to see you again, Moet?

"No thanks, Silvano, I think a bottle of Margaux will do quite nicely and my usual" said Freddie.

They were led to a beautifully appointed table that had a fabulous gold plated rooster as its centerpiece. Looking around the room, Carolyn noticed that each table housed a different  gold plated animal.  Nearby was a stunning frog and another table swam a golden fish. Of course, on Freddie's table was situated the largest centerpiece of all.

"That's some large cock!" Freddie laughed at his own joke.

Le Gavroche was a restaurant frequented by celebrite from all walks of life, actors, politicians, nobility and a world renowned rock star. These notables weren't accosted, there were no autograph seekers, no cameras, but that's not to say that people didn't stare. Patrons turned in their seats to look at these two and the buzz of whispering was heard throughout the restaurant.

"Freddie, doesn't all the staring bother you? Being the center of attention all the time it  would certainly  unnerve me." said Carolyn quietly.

"Darling, If and when that stopped, so would I."

(Every now and then Freddie's ego would take center-stage. Pun intended)

"Now, let's look at the menu, shall we. The chef here is superb."

"Oooo,  the menu is mouth watering. I think I'll start with the Coquille St. Jacques, what about you Freddie?" Asked Carolyn

"Oh, I always start with the same thing here at Le Gavroche and that's the Lobster Mousseline."

"For the entree, I'll have the cheese souffle"

Freddie gave the order to the waiter and added rack of lamb for himself.

The order was placed as the sommelier poured the Margaux  and as Freddie sipped his vodka tonic that was placed at his left without either of them realizing it.

"I just love Chateau Margaux" Carolyn said

"I know, I remembered it being served at your table at the palace."

"I would prefer not remembering that evening Freddie. You embarrassed me."

"Embarrassed you, you smashed a cake into my face."
