I apologize for taking so long to update this little story but I had no idea where this story was going and I completely shut down. Sorry again, a real writer's block.
So, I immersed myself in age-old "Freddie" interviews which we all know by heart by now, to see if I could glean "something" to sink my teeth in and subsequently, my fingers onto.
Being totally captivated by Freddie's posh oratorial speech, I started to reflect on our diva's lifestyle and his regal comportment. Watching the auction on TV and seeing his fabulous possessions, a idea took shape and I thought I would share my creative endeavors with you.
I hope you get a kick out of it and enjoyed it as much as I in writing it.
The trip back to Garden Lodge was uneventful. Freddie was quiet though cradling his new found treasure, his porcelain purchase of what he perceived was a reflection of himself. Terry turned on the radio, and surprise, surprise, Queen was playing Love of My Life.
I looked at Freddie admiring his perfectly chisled profile, his aquiline nose and an incredibly strong jawline. Oh dear, he turned to look at me and winked causing me to blush embarrassingly.
" I meant to tell you Carolyn, that you played beautifully at the studio. Even Brian was impressed and believe me, he's not impressed with anybody but himself." Freddie said.
"Full of himself?" Carolyn asked.
"Quite, and a reason to be, he's the smartest person I know"
"And please don't forget to call for a doctor's appointment for me, a female doctor, please" she reminded him as they entered Garden Lodge.
As Freddie nodded he couldn't help but remember Carolyn's strange behavior at Le Gavroche. Was she in pain as she said, or was it something else. It was all very perplexing and strangely familiar. The little sounds that she made, the quickened breath and flushed coloring.... stop thinking this way, I will make her an appointment, but right now, I'll have her change my sheets. I musn't forget what she's here for.
"Carolyn, come up to my room now, I need you to change my sheets, Phoebe will give them to you" Freddie said as he place his new aquisition on his Napolean III inlaid bureau in his dressing room.

(My apologies for using this photo again, but I wanted you to see where Freddie placed his purchase from Watson's Antiques on his Napoleon III inlaid bureau)
Sitting in his dressing room admiring his porcelain figure he was knee-deep in thought until it was broken by hysterical laughter coming from his bedroom.
Freddie walked to the doorway suppressing a chuckle as Carolyn tried in vain to tuck the fitted sheet corners onto the bed. She tucked one end in and as she reached for the other, the first corner popped off. To her, this was the funniest thing she ever experienced. She couldn't understand how anyone could get these sheets on. She laid on his bed rolling with laughter as Freddie approached and sat with her.
"What's so funny my dear?"
"Freddie", giggle, giggle, "Is this a joke?"
"What joke Carolyn?" Freddie asked turning away from her so she couldn't see him smile.
"Putting these ridiculous sheets on the bed. Is this a trick, a joke, a test Freddie?"
"These sheets Freddie. How on earth do you put them on?"
"Oh come now, my little princess , surely you have made a bed and know how to do it" Freddie smirked.
"Oh, really, do you know how to do it? When did you ever change sheets Freddie, oh wait, Mary did it, did she not?"
"Well, yes, she did, but everyone knows how to change sheets." Freddie countered with his head up.
"Is that so, my lord, perhaps you would be so kind as to show little old me then the proper and exacting way to do it." Carolyn jested.
"No problem, princess, watch and learn." Freddie said as he took the sheets from Carolyn's hands.
Me and my big mouth, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. Ah, I have an idea.
"Carolyn, I have an idea, you know the Luxemburg tour is coming up and I can't take a chance on pulling my back, help me with this, it will go twice as fast and you will learn how it's done."
"Yes of course my liege." Carolyn taunted.
Hmm, little snot, a spanking might be warranted about now. Stop , stop thinking this way."
"Carolyn, you take one end and I'll take the other and we will put both top corners on at once." Freddie said.
"Freddie, it won't fit, the sheet is not wide enough." Carolyn said as she pulled tightly at the corner."
"Oh that's right, I forgot, we have to do it diagonally" Freddie said.
"Oh yes?" Carolyn laughed.
"YES" Freddie said.
"I'll take the top left and you take the bottom right and we will pull and tuck." Freddie said rather proudly.
And pull and tuck they did untill the top portion popped off and landed on Freddie's head.
Seeing that, Carolyn collapsed on the bed in hysterics. "Oh it hurts" she said laughing uncontrollably holding her belly. She watched Freddie trying to extricate himself from the sheet as she turned over onto her stomach laughing until she cried.
Freddie jumped off of the bed and gave Carolyn one hard whack on her butt.
"Stop laughing at me" he said.
"Ow, what was that for?" Carolyn said, rubbing her behind.
"I told your father you should be spanked once a day. Only living up to my word, my dear" Freddie gloated.
Freddie got off the bed, turned to the door and yelled those tried an true words that aways came to the rescue.
"PHOEBE!"
Phoebe, hearing his boss's tone, came charging up the stairs.
"What's wrong Freddie" Phoebe asked.
"These sheets, you gave us the wrong ones. Perhaps they belong to the guestrooms." Freddie said.
"Freddie, these are Pratesi, you don't use Pratesi for your guestrooms. These are yours" Phoebe said.
"Oh yes, Mr. Smart Alec, you put them on, and then I will expect an apology." Freddie said chin to the sky.
"Watch Freddie, label goes to the left bottom front facing. Then the diagonal, right top front facing, then the other two" Phoebe said as he quickly completed dressing the bed. Carolyn cracked up again as she watched Freddie turn red and quickly walked away from him with her hands protecting her behind.
Knowing Freddie would never apologize, Phoebe quickly left the room.
Carolyn walked over to Freddie allowing him some time to save face and said as she touched his arm, "Freddie, please don't forget to get me a doctor's appointment, female, I'm in a little discomfort."
