** Now, now, no dirty minds.
This chapter is in third person......until Freddie arrives.
Selfridge's was perfect. It was an upscale department store targeting females in their to mid 20-30 age range. It was usually voted as the best department store in the world. Carolyn remembered she had a credit card there. Her father forgot about it and now she could shop to her hearts content. But she had no idea where to start, it all seemed so outrageous. She knew the saleswomen were very discreet but how to explain what these pieces were intended for.
She wanted to seduce Freddie, (as if that were ever a problem) to have him make love to her and be her teacher. Professor Frederick Mercury, Professor Emeritus, The Fine Art of Love-making- that has to be in print somewhere in the world.
There was a problem concentrating on all the beautiful items in front of her. She was having trouble selecting them and she couldn't get Freddie out of her mind and saw his image in her mind's eye wherever she looked, she was definitely smittten.
Carolyn lovingly caressed the silk panties and as she looked at the matching bra someone came up behind her and said "Your Highness" and she quickly shoved the panties into the saleslady's hands. She turned and recognized someone from her aunts staff. After some some pleasantries and formalities she was left alone and resumed her browsing.
Now what would turn Freddie on she thought, anything. She giggled as she thought of a radish.
She made her selection and wanted to hurrry home to Freddie. "Home" she thought, Dr. Bloom picked up on it, is that how she truly thinks about Garden Lodge.
She hailed a cab and gave him the address.
"1 Logan Place? Are you sure?" the cab driver said.
"Yes, of course I'm sure." Carolyn replied.
"That's Freddie Mercury's address" the cabbie answered.
" How do you know that?" Carolyn asked.
"Everyone knows where Freddie lives, getting in is another matter, ma'am"
"Is that so?"
"Yes'm"
" I heard tell it was harder to get in there than Buckingham."
The cab pulled up in front of the famous green door. Carolyn got out with her packages, paid the cabbie and as she walked to the door, the cabbie yelled "I just wait a bit to take ye wherever ya want to go when ya can't get in."
Carolyn walked to the door and punched in the code. The door opened and Carolyn turned to smile at the cabbie, wave and closed the door leaving the cabdriver scratching his head.
"Hey Phoebe, I'm back" she said."
"Hi Carolyn, can I get you something to eat or drink" Phoebe asked.
"No thank you Phoebe, I. er. you know what, I glass of white wine would be perfect, thank you"
"Coming right up"
I know that Freddie told me he was going to have dinner at his parents tonight. So do I really want this to happen tonight? Or should I wait for tomorrow? If I wait till tomorrow I might chicken out, It's got to be tonight.
She started her bath filled with warm scented miraculous potions that she bought at Selfridges. In she poured her new Lady Primrose Momentous bath salts. Carolyn was certain that once Freddie saw her bath salts, he would pilfer them for his own bath. She also used Roger e Gallete soaps, but hers were rose scented, she wasn't certain what fragrance Freddie used. Carolyn sipped her wine while she luxuriated in one of the worlds most expensive bath salts. As the water cooled, she knew it was time to dry off.
