chapter 3

Lilly's POV

It's been a few days since school started. My dad has only gotten worse, here's the run down of last night. I got home from school and he was passed out in the couch. "Ugh go one day without drinking could ya" I complained. "Lilly get the f*ck over here" sh!t. I walk over "yes dad" and in one quick motion I'm on the ground. My head hit the ground and I was out like a light.

Matthew's POV

I got home from practice and right before I went in my house I head a thud from Lilly's house "sh!t". I dropped my stand knocked on her door. "Who are you" "I'm Matthew Lilly is supposed to help me study tonight" that's a lie. "Whatever her room is upstairs" I walked in and run up the stairs. I opened her door and saw her unconscious in her bed. "Lilly" my voice was panicked.

I sat next to her just playing with her hair for 20 minutes then she woke up. She looked at me "what the h*ll Matthew" "I heard a thud and came to make sure you were ok" "why are you in my bed" "you were unconscious" she hugged me. She actually hugged me I was shocked but hugged her back. "Thanks " she said so quickly and quietly I barely heard her. Soon enough she fell asleep in my arms. I didn't want to wake her so I just let her sleep.

I woke up with her laying on top of me asleep still. All the bruise from last night were vary noticable. She felt weak and fragile.

Lilly's POV

When I would I looked at Matthew"thank you Mat" all he did was smile and stroke my hair. I didn't have enough energy to move so I just laid there. "Your dad left an hour ago and you are not going to school today " he told me and I was surprised "why not " "princess you are to weak to stand up your not going to school " his words struck my core. Matthew the person I hate cares about me?

I did end up falling asleep again and everytime I woke up he was there. He never left. I was both confused and thankful. This doesn't mean I like him. I still hate him just a little less now. "Princess?" "What Mat" "will you come to the first baseball game of the season?" He sounds so sweet when he talks to me. I look up at him "I'll think about it" I layed my head back down on his chest and fell asleep again.

Sorry for chapters being so short I just don't like writing long chapters so all the chapters are going to be short unless I get really into it. Anyways this is them laying together.
