Chapter 6.

STANS POV

I woke up and realized I was laying on top of Kyle. I blushed and remembered last night. 'Did he say he loved me?' I got up off of Kyle, accidentally waking him up.

Kyle yawned and stretched his arms, "hey Stan."

"Sorry, I didn't meant to wake you up.." I apologized.

"No, it's okay. So, you okay this morning?" He said looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lied. I was still upset from last night.

"Promise?" He asked me.

I nodded and he lightly smiled at me.

"Sorry for slapping you last night. I was just really upset.." He said.

I smiled lightly. "It's fine Kyle, don't worry about it."

He got up and his phone began ringing.

"It's my mom." He said before answering the call.

"Sorry mom, I'm at Stans and we accidentally fell asleep on the couch.....no no no no not together......I promise mom......no mom we aren't together!! No-I-mom no- mom I promise you I'm not gay!" He sighs, "alright I'll be home in a minute.....love you too.....bye." He said. I guess he noticed me staring questioningly because he told me he had to go.

"Sorry, she uh, want me to come home." He answers. 'Why'd he tell his mom he wasn't gay? At school he said he was.'

"Did you not come out to your mom yet..?" I finally ask.

He shook his head. "I can't..." He looked down and looked as if he was going to cry.

"Why can't you..?" I ask.

"My mom would kill me if she knew I was gay. She's against them. She's the worst homophobe in the world. She disown me if she knows..." He says looking up at me. I walk over to Kyle and sit next to him on the couch.

"I'm so sorry Kyle.. I had no idea..."

"It's not your fault Stan. You don't have to be sorry.." He got up and walked towards the door. "Well, I gotta go. Bye Stan.."

"Bye."

"Stan?"

"Yeah?"

"Promise me you won't do anything stupid that I'll see you at school tomorrow, smiling, like the Stan I know."

"I promise."

He left and I shut the door behind him.

What he didn't know is that my fingers were crossed behind my back.

Sorry Kyle, but I won't be at school...
