Chapter 2: Greif comes with tears

As we gazed upon the burning house, I could see everything. The golden flame which was nearly white, the ashes or the hose falling... Tera began to tear up, Esther and I tried to comfort her but to no avail... Eventually I took her home with me, Mama was making supper when we got home; it smelled great, but I had more important matters at hands. I then explained to mama what had happened, she welcomed Tera in as her own and even let her stay until we found her a better home!

After supper me and Norman went to our rooms while Tera slept on the couch. Norman is my kitties brother; he's adorable and looks a lot different from me and mama, probably due to dad... me and Normans room was messy but at the same time clean. Eventually, after cleaning; Mama went to her room- I've never met my dad; Mama always says that Papa wasn't very nice to her at times... as to why they separated. I do know that Norman looks a lot more like dad... mama said it herself, he has white horns and tail whereas me and mama have red, he has black hair and me and mama have fire colored hair. It's confusing for me, but I don't question it. Eventually, I laid down on my bed and shortly after fell asleep.

[JUNE 6th 2014 6PM]

(5 year time skip)

Me, Norman and Mama were going down to the nearby ice cream place, the streets were packed! People were running left and right, it was starting to get pretty dark out when I began to run. There were patches of grass and the city was very busy, people were getting all around town. Every street and part of road was packed. "Catch me if you can!" I yelled as I began to run off, Norman yelled back at me playfully, "You're on!" I smiled as I ran after him. Mama followed close behind and then we got a bit too far... when she tried to come; a car hit her... full speed; sending her down, it wasn't for 4 other cars running over her body before I was able to move from the pure shock... Norman quickly brings out his phone and called the ambulance.

[JUNE 7th 5AM]

"Norman I.. I'm so sorry..." I said to my brother, "I... I HATE YOU...! You shouldn't... have ran out into the road...!" Norman yelled at me through tears, I tried to reassure him but he wouldn't listen. . . Was this my fault.. I shouldn't have tried that I thought to myself. I looked around, it looked like any normal hospital, the white hallways, the weird sent of urine. Just then footsteps echoed through the long white hallway, "H-How is she...?" Norman asked. The nurse shook her head, "We tried everything we could..." I fell completely silent. Every memory of mama came rushing to me in that moment, it was so painful... so utterly painful. I felt the tears stinging my eyes as I backed up, "Ne-Nekane-" Norman tried to calm me down but I took off, I had to get out of there... I couldn't let anyone else die at my hands... so I ran... I ran and I ran... as far as I could, and never for one moment... did I look back...
