I got up and rubbed my eyes. My throat and head burned like I had just drunken burning hot tea.  "Ze-kel?" I called as I walked out of my room and looked around. A wonderful smell came from
The kitchen enchanting me to follow it, Zekel was making breakfast, he must have heard me walk in because he turned to see me. "Hey Nekane! How'd you sleep?" Zekel asked. Zekels messy brown hair and cyan eyes reminded me this was a safe place. I rubbed my eye and nodded. I didn't wanna tell him about the horrible dream I had, I've never gotten nightmares before my mother died.... We ate pancakes that were as soft as bread and tasted like honey, they melted almost in my mouth. I was starting to feel better, the burning sensation had gone away and I could think clearer... after that I walked outside and sat in the grass and close my eyes... the cold grass felt nice against my warm hands and the sun felt good against my horns and face..

I must have dozed off because when I opened my eyes it was noon. The shadows around me seemed to be calling- almost beckoning me to go to them. I stood up and walked into the overgrown house, it was dark, empty... Something felt... Off. This wasn't right. "Zekel?" I called out, No response. My ck Serb grew as I called out again, running around and looking for him. "Zekel...? Come on man this isn-" I started to say before the door collapsed. It was pitch black in the room, I felt around. I found the table, and a knife and grabbed it. The knife felt almost like it was gonna disappear at any moment; I took a second to examine it before something fell behind me, I turned around as fast as I could, a hand touched my shoulder, it felt like Zekel's, "Ze! Am I so glad you're here I-" a sharp pain in my stomach and a copper smell filled the air. I coughed and fell, pulling a knife out of my back and coughing. I took hold of my chest and pushed on it. "₮Ⱨł₴ ₩₳₴ ₣Ʉ₦ ₩ⱧłⱠɆ ł₮ Ⱡ₳₴₮ɆĐ, ₦Ɇ₭₳₦Ɇ." I looked up and saw an outline of Zekel before it quickly shifted into a black cloud of smoke with terrifying white eyes and a smile. I was terrified and bleeding out, the smell of the blood made me feel... weird... the creature stood there smiling as its face turned purple. It held its hand up and everything... went... dark.

This isn't the end... right? I've tried so hard, I've lost.. so many.. even if I was just reborn. Then....

"Nekane... my little demon...?" I turned around as the room brightened like I was looking at the sun. With her hair as red as Mars and her eyes as orange as sunset. Her angelic voice called to me, I turned and faced my mother, who looked at me with caring eyes.
