Wei Xiao looks at the alumni reunion schedule and decides to wait for a chance at Sakura Path Japanese Language School.

Afraid of buying the wrong ticket again, she struggles to communicate with the ticket machine attendant. The staff tells her they haven't heard of Sakura Path Japanese Language School. Asking a few passersby yields no results either. Helpless, she exits the tram station, recalling Shi Yuquan's outfit, resembling a uniform from a nearby convenience store. She decides to wait for him at the station since he must return if he's working around here.

As the evening approaches, Wei Xiao, feeling hungry, holds onto her last two coins, hesitates to spend them. She sits on the steps near the tram station exit, watching the crowd anxiously, fearing she might miss Shi Yuquan if she's not careful.

Her idle and furtive behavior attracts the attention of a patrolling police officer. The officer, cycling around his designated area, notices her still sitting there after three rounds. He stops his bike and approaches her.

Seeing the police officer approaching, Wei Xiao hastily stands up, thinking of escaping. As an undocumented person, if the police discover her illegal stay without proper identification, she might be deported back to her home country. Rumor has it that after deportation, one cannot re-enter Japan for five years. She absolutely does not want to be deported, she absolutely does not want to leave Shi Yuquan.

Seeing her anxious expression, the police officer quickens his pace and intercepts her, demanding to see her identification.

Wei Xiao, with innocent eyes wide open, pretends not to understand, trying hard to portray herself as a harmless fool.

The police officer asks, "Chinese? Korean?"

Regardless of the questions, she shakes her head. Soon, the police officer calls for backup, probably intending to take her to the police station for further questioning.

Wei Xiao looks like a trapped animal, anxiously scratching his head, tiptoeing to look around, preparing to flee. Suddenly, a voice speaks in Chinese. She turns to see a guy in a white T-shirt with a backpack getting off a bicycle.

"Hello, I'm Chinese. Do you need any help?"

Wei Xiao feels like he caught a lifesaving straw: "I'm here for tourism in Japan, and I lost my wallet and documents, so..."

"Then you should report to the police."

"No, I can't go back now."

      "Why?"

Wei Xiao is on the verge of tears: "I'll tell you later. Can you please help me get rid of the police first?"

The guy looks at her for a moment. Wei Xiao, dressed in a light gray dress, with neat makeup, doesn't appear to be a bad person. He then communicates with the police in Japanese for a while. The police nod frequently and then ride away on their bicycles.

Wei Xiao pats her chest in relief and then says to the guy who helped her out, "Thank you."

The guy smiles, revealing a set of neat, white teeth. "I'm Xu Tianci."

Xu Tianci has an innocent-looking face, a fair complexion with a touch of youthful innocence. He seems like a student, probably around the same age as Wei Xiao. There's a deep dimple on his left cheek when he smiles.

Wei Xiao feels warmth in her heart. "Hello, I'm Wei Xiao."

"I told the police you were lost, and your documents are at the hotel. I'll take you back, so you better not wander around here. Otherwise, if they see you again, it won't be easy to fool them."
