Returning to the room with tea, Wei Xiao feels very cold, so she wraps the blanket tightly. Soon, she feels hot, and in this alternating sensation of cold and heat, she starts dreaming.

In the dream, it was when she had just graduated and started working. She was assigned to a very remote village for a business trip. The place she stayed had two graves outside the back window. At night, the power went out, and she always felt a faint green light behind the back window. Feeling somewhat wronged, she called Shi Yuquan. Despite hearing his voice being a bit proud and unwilling to admit fear, she just wanted him to keep her company and talk. That night, they chatted all night, and she fell asleep in a daze. The next morning, Shi Yuquan appeared in front of her with a tired face after driving over as soon as he hung up the phone.

In that moment, she really wanted to cry. Shi Yuquan understood all her vulnerability and stubbornness, yet he never easily exposed it. He mentioned he came for inspiration, visited her place, and understood what she feared. He suggested going to the lake at night to stargaze and sleep in the car. Unexpectedly, when they drove to the lake at night, a heavy rainstorm suddenly hit with thunder and lightning. She was scared, trembling, and Shi Yuquan held her tightly. At that moment, she felt Shi Yuquan was really good, as long as he was there, any weather felt like good weather.

Later, they got married. Before getting married, they had a big fight, almost breaking up. If they had split up then, maybe Shi Yuquan wouldn't have died, and she wouldn't be in such pain now. She wants to cry, her eyes feels gritty. Memories seems fragmented, and she suddenly forgot why they had fought. She feels anxious, as if memories of Shi Yuquan are becoming increasingly blurry, as if she is about to lose him completely. She can't grasp anything, she can't grasp anything at all...

She loudly exclaims, "Don't leave! Please don't go!"

Suddenly, she hears Shi Yuquan's voice, "I'm not leaving."

She struggles to open her eyes and sees him, smiling with relief.

Shi Yuquan, holding a thermometer, seems a bit uncertain. He always easily succumbs to her dreamy smile. After a moment of hesitation, he slowly approaches her and places the thermometer in her mouth.

With the thermometer in her mouth, Wei Xiao wants to speak, but Shi Yuquan immediately stops her, saying, "Be good, don't move."

His voice is gentle, like it comes from another dimension.

Wei Xiao obediently closes her mouth, waiting for the thermometer to beep. When Shi Yuquan takes it out and checks, it's 39.2°C, a high fever, making him a bit anxious.

"You change your clothes, I'll take you to the hospital."

"Hospital?" Wei Xiao immediately shakes her head firmly after hearing those words. "I won't go, I won't go." She lost Shi Yuquan in the hospital, she despises it, utterly loathes it.

She slides down under the covers, curling up like a silkworm.

Shi Yuquan has no choice but to go out to buy medicine. Passing by the small park, a cat suddenly emerges and follows him, all the way to the pharmacy. After buying the medicine and coming out, he sees the cat waiting at the entrance, seemingly wanting to go home with him.

Pointing at the cat, he says sternly, "Don't follow me, I won't adopt you."

The cat lazily glances at him and moves its gaze elsewhere.

Shi Yuquan breathed a sigh of relief, turned back, and found the cat still following him.

Seems like it's getting attached.
