Highschool ?!

Day 2 : Short Offer / Admiring from a far

- Going to school early once again, Vazti put her bag in the classroom and walked around to look for her best friend Naomi and bumped into Jaz who just got here,

immediately she waved at her and Jaz waved back. The sudden urge to ask her about Keith hit her but she held it in and instead she asked about something else -

"Jaz! do you know where K-NAOMI!.. is?"

"Oh, It's still early so she's not gonna be here-"

Jaz responded with a tired morning voice and walked past to go put her bag down in the classroom. Vazti just continued to walk by and look for Naomi, after a while she saw Keith standing by the cafeteria as if he was waiting for someone too. Automatically she took a quick glance of him but realised he was already looking, was she delusional or blind? not sure of it. All she did was walk by immediately so she could get her mind off him and continue looking for Naomi, while trying to stop thinking of her crush she accidentally bumped into someone. A new student? or a late enrollee maybe.. or is she from the other section? Either way, Vazti helped her up and the girl immediately thanked her.

"Thank you! Uhm.. do you know where 8-B is? I'm kind of.. a late new student- Wait, sorry, I meant late enrollee."

Vazti looked around before looking down at the girl.

"I'm in that class, I could show it to you.."

She said in a gentle tone, and then looked at her ID. her name was Remi..

"Okaaay!"

Remi said, and followed her to the classroom. After a while, Vazti and Remi walked around together to look around for Naomi around the halls, Naomi.. who was probably late.

"Oh, yeah! I met Naomi yesterday while my mom was registering me into here. I saw her a lot in grade 7, what about you?"

Remi asked while walking with Vazti, before getting a response from her.

"Mhm, she's been here with me since grade 1, I moved in grade 7 though and moved back here this year!"

The conversation went on and on, and so did Vazti's thoughts about her crush. Both girls kept passing by him most times and she kept noticing him. It wasn't such a rare occasion since they were in the same school, same class, same campus.

After a while, Keith went up to the girls as soon as he noticed Vazti and Remi. Once he was close he asked:

"Vazti! are you-"

Before he could finish the question, the bell rang and they had to go to flag ceremony once again, Remi groaned and dragged Vazti to the line while Keith was left behind. Before the girls actually went to the line Vazti looked back and saw Keith watching them walk away before he himself looked away and walked to the line.

Once again, they were beside eachother in the 6th row in flag ceremony line. She kept trying to avoid eye contact and kept thinking about how she currtently looked since she didn't bring a mirror with her today and her phone was charging in the classroom.

When the ceremony was about to start, that's when Naomi finally arrived. She was slightly late so she brought her bags with her, obviously once she was in linr she ouy her bags down and kept trying to catch her breath. Once she slightly did, she tapped Vazti's shoulder and motioned to fix her collar, when Vazti noticed she looked down at herself a bit embarassed as she quickly fixed it and herself.

"You should be more aware of youtself you know, you could've looked bad infront of him..."

Naomi said to tease Vazti a bit with joking intentions. As then, Vazti said:

"Shh! We don't know that, okay? even if we're like.. slowburn, I don't think he-"

Vazti quickly interrupted herself, replacing her words with silence as soon as she saw their adviser coming to check up on them. The daily check was short and quick since most of the students from year 8 are behaved whenever a non-teaching and teaching faculty is gonna be there.

- It was finally time for lunch and the girls sat with eachother once again. Vazti, Naomi, Jaz, Grace, and this time with Remi! That was nice.

After a bit, Grace realises Vazti's crush is right behind them! what a perfect opportunity for the other girls to try to playfully matchmake Vazti and Keith together even if Keith's friends were right there. Grace was friends with some of the guys so this would be easy! -

"Vazti!"

Remi said in a light whisper then pointed to Keith who was right by the table behind them. Then added:

"Want me to call him?"

Remi said jokingly but pretended to prepare herself to shout his name outloud while he was right there! Meanwhile, Vazti eas panicking a bit since she felt so embarassed to be right behind her crush on the opposite table. She quickly hid her face while feeling some stares of his friends

"VE-"

Naomi was about to call Ven, but got interrupted by Vazti ckvering her mouth in thought of her best friend calling out her crush to make her flustered. Keith heard it and hesitated to turn around since he was still eating, so all he did was finish swallowing quickly and looked back while Ven made eye gestures from Keith to Vazti.

"Oh, Vazti! If you're still gonna do cheer tryouts I'd show you around a bit. You know, just so you get familiar- Unless you can do it on your own, can you?"

Keith asked straightforwardly, Vazti couldnt say anything since she felt fully flustered and tongue tied. Though she was able to stutter out a few words he couldnt reallt understand so he looked at her confused, Grace sighed and spoke for her:

"Oh? she just came back, she needs the tour so she can be familiar with going with you to practice. You know?"

Keith thought for a moment, leaving Vazti's table and Keith's table in curiosity and wonder of what he's gonna say. Especially Vazti.. she looked at him nervous but tried to act cool and calm. so all he said in return was:

"Alright, I still might have freetime at clubs so I can show her around. Is that alright Vazti?"

He immediately asked her and both Vazti and Keith gave a nod to eachother in agreement, turning back to their tables with 2 completely different reactions toeards the sudden, recent interaction. Vazti was head over heels and Keith seemed slightly nonchalant about it. Not that it's bad, it might mean he doesn't dislike her...? While that happened, both Naomi and Remi kept nudging Vazti to teade her about him. Knowing she fekt hot both inside and out from the full flusteredness.

- Who could decline such an offer from their own crush?

Vazti couldn't this time, knowing she might be with Keith this time! This was lucky today -
