The Rookie Co-Parents

Chaoter 5

[It's the last day in Italy. They are excited to head back and meet Conrad and Gigi in person. They pack their suitcases. Their flight is at 10pm. They will arrive in LA at 10am the next morning. Lucy gets a call from Tim.

••Noah's Dad••

Lucy- Yes?

Tim- Calling to see if you need a ride from the airport tomorrow?

Lucy- I already have someone picking me up.

Tim- Okay. When am I seeing my son again.

Lucy- I don't know Tim. [Lucy called Noah into the room and hands him the phone]

Noah- Hello?

Tim- When am I seeing you again son?

Noah- I don't know.

Tim- Ashley and I want to see you.

Noah- See there you go again talking about "Ashley and I want to see you. Why does she have to be involved with everything?

Tim- Just let me know when I'm gonna see you again.

Noah- Whatever

••Call Ends••

Noah- "I can't wait to meet Conrad"

Lucy- "Me too son"

Lucy and Conrad continue texting all day long. As it approached 8pm they headed to the airport, so they could get through baggage and security. at 9:30 they got to their gate and waited to board. They were one of the first people on the plane and waited for a while until everyone was on the plane. They took off and halfway through Noah fell asleep leaning on his mom's shoulder. They arrived and Noah woke up excited to meet Conrad. After 20 minutes they made it to baggage. They grabbed their suitcases and went outside. They seen Conrad standing outside of his car with Gigi. They walked toward the car after they waved to them. they got to Conrad and Gigi. Conrad hugged Lucy and whispered in her ear.

Conrad- "Hey beautiful" he whispered

Lucy- "Hey" she smiled and whispered back.

Conrad- "Hey Noah" he said as Noah went in for a hug.

Noah- "Hey"

Gigi- "Hi Lucy." she said hugging her legs because she wasn't that tall.

Lucy- "Well hi there Gigi" she said as she picked her up.

[They all got into the car]

Conrad- "How does everyone feel about lunch?

Lucy- "I'm starving"

Noah- "We have eaten anything in at least 12 hours"

Conrad- "Well the. we definitely have to get lunch. Where do you want to go?"

Lucy- "I know a good food truck, but it won't be the best idea."

Conrad- "Why not."

Lucy- Officers tend to go there on their breaks. Noah's dad being one of them."

Conrad- "I know a nice place the four of us could go to.

Lucy- "Then let's go"

Conrad asked for permission to touch her leg. She said yes and he rested his hand on her thigh. Noah and Gigi sat in the back talking to each other the entire ride. Conrad got out and went to Lucy's side and open the door. Noah held Gigi's hand and Conrad held Lucy's. They go inside and sit down. A waiter comes over.

Waiter- "What can I get to drink for you guys"

Lucy- "A water please"

Conrad- "You don't want wine or a margarita or anything?"
