Maeve

"I promise you that it will be worth skipping practice" I hear my sister Skye speak as she walks into the house. I sat at the dining room table in front of my laptop, I had serious writers block right now.
My head looks up as I watch. my sister Skye walk into the house as I see her offensively good looking best friend, Leah following her inside. I can't help but stare, I had the biggest crush on Leah. She was four years older than me, I knew she never looked at me the way I look at her.
I was just a little girl to her, someone who she would never even dream of dating. But all my friends and I thought she was some kind of god or something. Not only was she super hot, but like my sister she was a footballer.
Which is HOT.
Unless its my sister, then it really isn't that impressive.
I attempted to keep my eyes down, not wanting to look like I was staring like I always was. Im sure she thinks im some kind of freak.
Or a stalker of some kind.
"Maeve!" I hear Skye shout loudly, god what have I done now.
"What?" I snap right back to her call. I watch as she turns her body and walks into the kitchen where I currently reside working on a new project.
I wanted to be a writer, I wanted to be one so badly. I had always been interested in books of all kinds, but my favourites were romance. I had always wanted the kind of love that makes you forget you had ever felt pain before.
Skye and Leah walk into the kitchen, Skye first with Leah on her tail. I couldn't help but just look directly at Leah, she took all my attention while my sister stood there looking at me with that look in her eye.
The kind of look that meant she was up to no good and I was about to be dragged into it.
"If mum asks, you didn't see us"
"But here you are in front of me?" I raise an eyebrow at her. A smirk growing on my face knowing I wouldn't be doing this lying for free, I refused to put my life on the line for nothing.
I watch as Leah cracks into a smile, attempting to hide her laugh from my sister. I had always been someone to wrap everyone in my family around my little finger. I always got my own way even if it did mean I had to bribe someone.
I see Skye look around to Leah before her entire body deflates knowing this would be a pointless argument. She knew she would end up going out of her way to do something for me, to get something for me.
"What do you want?" she sighs.
Skye did have one thing that I didn't; a valid ID. She had just turned 18 and here I was just 15 and in need of alcohol for a party this weekend for a party. She needed me to lie for her, I needed her to get me alcohol.
This was a win win for us.
"Go get me some alcohol from the shop for a party I have this weekend" I smirk as I tilt my head to the side.
"She's got you there" Leah adds with a giggle as she takes a seat one away from mine. It was clear she wasn't planning on going with her to collect this alcohol.
I watch as Skye sighs, her arms flap around in a toddler manner. She could be such a baby sometimes.
"Fine!" she finally gives in "Leah you coming?"
"Nah, its gross out" she wasn't wrong, it had been raining most of the day, "I'll wait here"
She will wait here, as in with me. As In I actually had to speak to her, one on one without my sister there to monitor.
Why was I so nervous?
"Whatever" Skye groans before tuning her back and heading to the door.
We didn't live too far from the shop so I knew Leah and I wouldn't be alone for too long. I look at her with a slight smile on my face, got why was I so awkward.
"What you writing?" she asks me. I had never been good at telling people about my dreams. I didn't want anyone to read my stuff, it wasn't good enough yet so I couldn't let anyone read it.
"Just something random" I shrug off the fact that I was writing a book. The same book I had been trying to write for the past few months now.
"Skye told me you want to be a writer?" I feel my head shoot up. I look at her with a frown, I had never even told Skye. I knew she saw me writing all the time but I didn't know that she was actually smart enough to put two and two together, "was that a secret?" she giggles.
My reaction must have said it all, I was confused and didn't really know what to say. I had never shared my dream with anyone, what if they all went wrong?
"I haven't really told anyone, I didn't know Skye knew" I speak quietly. I watch her face turn to guilt.
Like she felt bad for bringing it up.
"Oh sorry" she speaks, "I won't tell anyone"
"Thank you" I smile, I felt like a blushing idiot. I couldn't even look at her without blushing, she definitely thought I was super weird.
"You shouldn't be ashamed of your dreams though" she adds, "I'm sure everyone laughs at me thinking I'll play for Arsenal and England"
I had seen Leah play many times, I had no doubt in my mine that Leah would make it into both teams. She was an amazing player in fact.
"You'll get into both, you're crazy good" I giggle, I look up as she looked at me. I felt like I could go crazy with the way her eyes connected with mine, I had the biggest crush on this girl.
"Lets hope both our dreams come true"
Little did he know one of my other dreams was her. I wanted Leah Williamson to be mine.
