Maeve

I arrived in London, my plane had landed half an hour ago and I was currently waiting on my sister who was always late to arrive. I say on my case out the front of the airport, it had been a long day.

Emily and I had a huge argument before I left because I hadn't told her about me leaving. She wanted to come, I knew that why she wanted to come. She didn't care that I was there to make myself feel better, in fact she hadn't even asked me once if I was okay.

I think I question why im with her at least twice a day.

I hear a beeping, my head shoots up and I meet the eyes of my sister as she hangs out of the window of her car.

Late as always.

"You're late" I groan as she climbs out of the car to help me with my bags.

"Better late than never" she smiles to me before embracing me in a hug. I hated her as much as I loved her sometimes, she was annoying as hell most of the time. But she did pay for my trip to London so I guess she's not all that bad.

I climb into the car, I hadn't been to London before. It was my first time here since Skye moved. She had begged me to come before now but I always had work, but I guess that wasn't a problem now.

"How was your flight?" she asks me as I slide the seatbelt on before turning to her.

I debated telling her about Emily and her comments she made before I left. The fact she called me a 'bitch' for going without her. I left her in my apartment that I paid for.

"It was okay" I speak, she understood the tone straight away.

"Hows the dickhead" she mumbles, referring to Emily.

I just roll my eyes knowing I didn't want to talk about her, in fact I didn't want to talk about her at all.

I had been with Emily for a year, it hadn't been the best year of my life. We didn't make the best memories and she used me a lot, but she made me feel loved sometimes. It was all I wanted in life. I wanted the romance I read about in my books. The type I wrote about.

"I don't want to talk about her"

"Did you break up?" she states with far too much excitement. I snap my head around and stare at her with a glare I use all too often.

"Sorry" she mumbles.

"We didn't break up, just not really talking right now" I speak and I could see the smile on her face. I knew my entire family wanted me to end the relationship, but I was so alone in Edinburgh.

She was kinda my only friend. I hated being tied down with loneliness, but I had no one else.

"We're not talking about her" I snap and Skye holds her hands up in retreat.

I always won the arguments growing up, I guess I was just better at arguing than she was. Or she just gave me my own way right away, I was just the youngest child.

I guess I did get my own way a lot.

We arrived at Skye's apartment, in her classic fashion she got my case for me as I grabbed my small handbag. I carried my bag behind Skye as she lugged my case up the stairs before we reached the apartment.

"I forgot my key so just knock, Leah will answer"

My heart stopped at that moment, Leah was here. I had no idea that Leah would be here, I had not prepared myself to see Leah.

Oh my god.

"Maeve! Knock on the door!" she snaps as she stands behind me. I snap from my thoughts, I couldn't handle this.

I looked awful.

Why was I nervous?

I hadn't seen Leah in four years, in person that is. I knew how fine she had truly gotten. We followed each other on social media and I saw she was beautiful, more so than ever before.

I reach up and knock three times on the door. I attempted to hold myself together as I hear footsteps on the other side of the door. It takes one second before I hear the door click, it opens revealing Leah.

My god she was hot.

"Maeve!" she says, It was almost as if she didn't know I was coming. But she had to know, Skye must have told her.

"Hey" I smile back, unable to move.

I don't think my legs were working in this shock I was experiencing right now. I cannot even comprehend how beautiful this girl in front of my eyes is.

"Maeve, can you walk please!" Skye snaps as she attempts to walk past me.

"Don't talk to me like that!" I snap to her, which causes a laugh to leave Leah's mouth.

Leah leans down grabbing my small bag from me to help me through the door while Skye struggles with the extra large case I I brought for a few days.

"Oh yeah mate, take the small bag I got this one"

Skye puffs as she kicks the front door shut behind her. I cant help but smile as she holds my bag before placing it down. Our eyes met and I couldn't help but smile at her. God I still have a crush on her after all this time.

I was in a relationship, I couldn't possibly have a crush on my sisters best friend. It was too stereotypical, I couldn't be that girl.

"I'll show you to your room" my sister states as she grumbled and we walk down the hallway.

I nod before reaching a closed door, it was around rooms I could only assume were Leah and Skye's rooms. This apartment was beautiful, I couldn't get over the fact she really lived here. I was proud of the woman she had become, even after the problems she had with football.

I was really proud of her.

The door opens to reveal an empty yet beautiful bedroom. It had a large bed in the middle of the room, with a built in closet and vanity with a beautifully lit mirror.

"It wasn't ready so I got some stuff this morning. You're welcome to stay as long as you want okay Maeve?" she smiles, I cant do anything but rush into her embrace.

My life had really turned to shit the past forty-eight hours. Emily was an ass and well, I had lost my job so London didn't seem like a bad idea for a while.

Especially is Leah Williamson would be my new room mate.
