Cameron.

I couldn't believe it.

Students clustered around trying to get a glimpse of the results. There was no possible way this was accurate.

"Isn't that the newbie's name?"

"So fast? She made it?! That can't be."

"It's not just her. Look!"

I glanced back at the board to look clearly. What in Newton's name was going on? I turned around in fury only to lock eyes with Snow as she passed by with a smirk flipping her hair off her shoulder.

Oh Elsa be damned.

"Cameron! You won't believe what I just heard!!" Lyra yelled waving at me. I ignored her as she got to my side and started walking in the direction Snow followed.

"Spare me that nonsense. Not only have I heard, I just saw." I said. As we walked students stared at us and kept whispering.

I stopped and looked at Lyra.

"You were kicked out of the Top Five." She looked away embarrassed. She humiliated Snow only for the girl to pay back by taking her spot. Tough.

"What? I probably wasn't prepared. It's only temporary! Plus I think something is wrong with the results. Even Tia got demoted and her twin brother took her spot. It's not fair." She complained and I scoffed.

"Yes it is. You're just fucking clueless as always. Get your head together Lyra. And focus on your studies you stupid blonde." I muttered and she frowned. I got to class and settled down waiting for Ms Melina.

I watched as Aries and Snow walked in side by side with Damien behind them. A few minutes later Sam and Amelia walked in with Cayla. They all took their respective seats.

A slight knock on my desk forced me to lift my head to stare at my disturber. Snow glared down at me. Her blue eyes blazing angrily.

"What is it Elsa? You can't just let me go, can you?" I asked and she rolled her eyes.

"Do me a favor and get your crazy ex off my back. Or you're next." She warned and I smirked. "Next? What are you gonna do? Take first place? Dream on sweetheart." I said and relaxed back in my seat.

She smiled and reached forward grabbing my tie and yanking me closer and inches away from her face. A ton of gasps were heard.

"What makes you think I can't? I may not even have to try harder. I'm that smart." She whispered and I blinked.

"Nice one Elsa. There's only so far you can go into the unknown." I said and her face scrunched in confusion. I smiled in my head.

Please don't tell me this Queen hasn't even watched Frozen 2?

She let go and walked back to her seat as Ms Melina walked in with Mr Jordan. The coordinator of our college.

"Good day Class. I hope studies have been going exceptionally well. I'm here in regards to the Grading system for our best top students. Mr Hayes?" He called and I stood up. Then he called Snow's name.

"It's incredible and unheard of. It's only been a few days and you've made it to the Top Five. I commend you. Surprisingly, I believe Mr Hayes will have a hard time securing his position as the number one. So, The next evaluation is going to be during the display convention and there will be pairs in order to make it fair. Your partner will be communicated to you by next week after the arrangements are done. Good luck." He said and left.

"You guys did amazing!" Ms Melina complimented and I nodded in acknowledgement. I sat back down and pulled out my notes. I glanced at Snow.

Hell will have to freeze over for her to take my spot.

She met my gaze and flipped me off.

I will do whatever it takes. No one. I repeat. No one will replace me. I could barely concentrate on Ms Melina's teaching because I was boiling in anger. Maybe Lyra was right.

Something is wrong with the grading system. "Dude! You're gripping the pen so hard!" I turned to the student and frowned. He blinked back at me.
He tipped his glasses forward and smirked.

"Hi. I'm Jaden." He stretched out a hand but I ignored it. He had blonde hair and green eyes. He was around my height too and was good looking. Was he a transfer student?

"I'm a new transfer. I was meant to start a few days ago but I didn't." He said and I raised an eyebrow at him. "And you're telling me this why?" I asked and he shrugged.

"You seem like you could use a friend. Or you're the loner?" He teased and I rolled my eyes. "Leave me alone." I grumbled. He nodded and faced the front of the class, listening.

Snow got up to hand Ms Melina some papers and Jaden whistled lowly.
"She's gorgeous." I spared a glance at him. He was already looking at me.

"What? She is, isn't she?" I said nothing and turned back to Ms Melina. What topic was she teaching again? I sighed in frustration. This won't do.

The bell rang signifying the end of the class. "Alright guys! See you tomorrow! Cameron and Snow. Please wait behind!" Ms Melina said as students filed their way out of the class. Snow was already waiting as I got to Ms Melina's desk.

"Hi guys. Congratulations on making it to the top five Snow and congratulations to you Cameron. Always number one." She said as Snow smiled. I only bent my head in acknowledgement.

"So there's a high tendency that you might both be paired for the next evaluation."

We both looked at each other. Mirroring shocked expressions.

"Why? That's unfair!" Snow complained and Ms Melina smiled warmly. "Well, You two separately are competitive. Think about if you're paired? You'll both be unstoppable. You may set the school on fire at that rate. It's an amazing opportunity for a collaboration between the school's top students." She explained.

More or less, We might end up setting each other on fire. I don't think Ms Melina realizes the rivalry between Snow and I.

"Well, it's just an observation. Who knows you might not get paired. Be prepared." She ended on a cheerful note before dismissing us. Snow glared at me before walking out.

Oh for God's sake.
