"Heeey! You made it!" Jackie was sitting on a bench waiting for him, two cones in her hands. "Hope you like vanilla. I figured you would, it being the most common flavor and all."

"Yeah, it's great, thanks." Marco smiled, taking one of the cones from her. She stared at him, her green eyes flirty, but he kept his glare on the mountains in the distance, the sun slowly setting behind them, turning the sky into a lovely orange, pink and purple mixture.

Jackie watched him, then directed her gaze to the mountains as well. After a moment she spoke.

"It's beautiful."

Marco looked over at her, and she returned the stare. Her hand was reaching for his face by the time he understood the uneasiness he had before he came. This was wrong, so, so very wrong. Yet it was the reminder that he had always wanted this before the other girl came into the picture that kept him there, and he, too, brought his hand around her waist, pulling her in.

In an instant, there mouths were connected. She started gripping onto his hoodie, and although it seemed like there was no space left, she pulled him closer, deepening the kiss. His hands moved up, but he stopped them before they could tangle in her hair. Immediately he froze up.

'This is wrong,' he thought. 'I'm not supposed to be with Jackie, I was never supposed to be with her.'

He didn't want the vanilla ice cream. He didn't care if it was "common" or "original". He wanted the unique flavor, the not-your-everyday flavor. One that was wild, spunky, and crazy good. One that he should've claimed a long time ago.

That one flavor was Star.

Marco pushed Jackie away, and she jumped back, surprised. He quickly stood up, facing her.

"I'm sorry, I-I can't."

He then starting running towards home, his mind focused on setting things right, leaving the cool girl with the blue streak in her hair alone on the bench, her eyes wide with tears threatening to fall, questions spinning in her mind. Marco knew it was beyond rude to just leave her there without any explanation, but he knew that if he were to set things right with Star, he had to hurry.
