"Star, are you done in there? I still need to brush my hair before I go!"
"Almost done, I promise!"
Marco stood by the bathroom door, anxiously waiting to get his hair done, for it was a quarter 'till eight.
"Okay-" The door opened, and out stepped Star, her bright blue eyes shining, her beautiful long blonde hair in soft curls, perfectly framing her face, falling down over her ruby red and white dress. Everything about her sparkled, and just when Marco thought she couldn't get any more gorgeous, there she was, proving him wrong. He stood there, breathless, gaping and taking her whole image in.
Until a hand waved over his face.
"Uh, hello, Marco? I said you can come in and fix your hair now."
His face turned a deep shade of red, and he rushed in.
"S-s-sorry, I just, I mean, I was..." He couldn't hide the fact that he was majorly flustered now. Having his words slurred every time he tried to speak helped him make the decision not to talk until they were ready to go.
As soon as Marco was done with his hair, he found Star in her room, right about to leave. She took her dimensional scissors and cut open a portal, then, after saying a quick "good luck" and "goodbye", she hopped right in and was gone, leaving him to go meet up with Jackie.
He checked his phone.
7:58 PM
"Shoot, I gotta GO!" Marco quickly opened and closed the front door, then ran as fast as humanly possible towards Sprinkles. He was nervous, but not as nervous as he thought he would be, and definitely not as nervous as he was around Star, which seemed a bit odd.
