It's been a few months since the Spring Fling.
Regina got off her neck brace a couple weeks ago which means we got caught up on all of the "extra curricular activities" that Regina missed. I stayed at her house for an entire week, so we had plenty of time.
But now it's prom season. I'm out shopping with Cady to get her a dress but all I really want right now is to be with my girlfriend.
"What do you think of this one?" Cady asks, making me bring my attention to her instead of my text messages.
She's wearing a dark blue dress that hugs her body quite tightly. "It's cute, I like it."
"You've said that about every single dress so far, Elle. Who are you texting anyway?" She tries to grab my phone but I stuff it into my pocket.
"Regina. She's asking when we are getting home because she wants to ask me something."
"Ooo! Maybe she's asking you to prom!" Cady goes back behind the curtain to try on another dress.
"Are sophomores even allowed to go to prom?" I ask, now thinking about going to the dance.
"If you're asked by a junior, aka Regina, then yes." Cady comes back out in a lilac gown and I immediately nod.
"That's the one."
"Are you sure? It seems a bit.. extra." She flattens the dress out over her hips.
"It looks amazing on you."
We both gasp at the same time when Cady's hands slip into the dress. "Pockets!"
___
"Hey baby!" Regina says gleefully as she wraps her arms around my shoulders, pulling me down to meet my lips in a soft kiss. "How was dress shopping with Cady?"
"Pretty good, she finally found her dress." I nod and kiss my girlfriend again, this time a bit longer.
"Well I actually have a question to ask you." Regina pecks my lips, we can't get enough of each other.
"Go on." I say with a smirk as I look down between us.
"Would you like to be my date to prom?" She asks me as she uses her finger to turn my face back to look at her.
I grin, "I'd love to go to prom with you."
"Good," I press my lips to hers but she still speaks. "Cause I already bought you a ticket and-"
"Mhm.." I hum, kissing her jawline.
"And.. fuck, you're making it really hard to think." I feel her gulp underneath my lips as I kiss her neck. "I have a red dress.. fuck, so you'll have to match.."
Her voice becomes weaker as I push her against the wall and continue kissing all of the sensitive spots on her neck. "Mhm.."
"Maybe we can go shopping together after school?" She gulps and clears her throat. "I'm taking Gretchen on Tuesday.. would you like to join?"
I lift my head and look at Regina, wrapping my hand gently around the base of her neck. "Regina, as much as I'd love to talk about shopping with you.. the only thing I can think about right now is you." I begin pushing her toward her bed. "You, underneath me." She falls backwards onto the soft mattress, I stand over her. "Screaming my name."
"Fucking Hell."
___
"I hate dresses." I mumble as I struggle to zip up the tight red dress.
"Let me in." Regina says through the curtain. Without an answer, she comes right in and smiles before standing behind me and zipping up the dress. "You look so pretty."
"Very funny." I roll my eyes and smooth my hands over the red silk. "I can't believe you convinced me to try this on. We already bought my suit."
"I don't know, I think you should get this dress.." She kisses my bare shoulder and wraps her arms around my waist, pulling me back against her.
"No thank you." I turn around and kiss her forehead, "Can I please change now?"
"Let me take a photo first-"
"Hell no."
"Just one!" Regina begs.
I huff with a soft grin. She knows I have a soft spot for her and her only, she uses it to her advantage. "Fine. But don't you dare show anyone."
Regina giggles and quickly takes a photo but pouts when I'm not smiling. "Smile baby, you look so pretty."
Her words make me grin softly and blush, she quickly takes another photo before putting her phone away.
"Can you help me unzip?"
"Already ahead of you." Regina grins and slowly unzips the dress, slowly and seductively draping it off of my shoulders.
I shudder when her hands meet my bare skin on my waist. Her lips gently meet the nape of my neck to kiss the fading hickey she left there earlier this week.
"Get changed, I'll be waiting out there for you." She says lowly, making me gulp. Regina exits my dressing room, shutting the curtain behind her. I can almost hear her grin when I take in a deep breath, desperately needing air after that interaction.
When I change back into my clothes, I grab Regina's hand and pull her out of the store and into the main part of the mall. She scrolls through her phone as we walk hand in hand.
"You hungry?" She suddenly asks, putting her phone into her pocket and pulling out her credit card.
"Not if you're buying." I nudge her. "You always buy us food, let me treat you. What are you feeling?" We walk through the food court, looking at all of the places to eat. "Pretzels, pizza, chinese-"
"Shane!" Regina suddenly stops in her tracks as we come face to face with a man.
"Shane?" I ask, confused.
"Regina, hey!" The man, apparently Shane, greets Regina, completely ignoring my existence. "Crazy running into you here. You look good."
I scowl, "Thanks. I tend to look better without headgear." Regina says back with a grin.
Is she seriously flirting with a man in front of me?
