When Damien said he knew a place, I was not expecting him to take us to a skate park.

Not that I'm complaining, I absolutely love skateboarding. It's my favorite hobby.

We stopped to get smoothies on the way here so while Janis and I skate around, Damien and Regina sit on a nearby bench and enjoy their smoothies.

"Why did we come here if you aren't even going to skate?" Janis asks as we walk over to Regina and Damien.

"For you both to get your zoomies out so we can go shopping later." Damien says with a polite smile.

"Go have fun, we're okay over here." Regina says before walking up to me and fixing my hair, "Plus, I have an amazing view."

I smirk, "Want me to teach you a few tricks?"

"Oh, I don't know-"

"Come on, it'll be fun!" I grab her hand and pull her out to a flat surface to teach her how to do a simple kick flip. "But safety first."

I pick up a helmet and strap it to her head. She scrunches her nose cutely, making me grin. "Don't let me fall."

"Never." I kiss her nose gently, "Now take my hands and step on the board."

Regina follows my directions and shakes a little bit she quickly finds her balance.

"Good!" I praise her.

"Don't get too excited, I might break an arm soon." She says, looking down at her feet.

"I wouldn't let that happen." I lift her chin with my finger, "Just keep looking at me, I got you."

I teach her the steps, she does really good for the most part so I release her hands and let her try on her own.

"Elle, I'm scared." She says as she looks at me with a pout on her lips.

"Just focus and trust yourself baby, I'm right here. I'm not going to let you fall." I smile reassuringly.

Regina takes a breath and kicks her feet. She almost lands but the board shifts and she trips. I quickly grab her wrist and her hip to catch her before she falls. "That was good!"

"Don't lie." She laughs and clings to me. "That was horrible."

"No it wasn't, you almost had it! I bet if you give it one more try, you'll land it."

"Bet?" She smirks and looks up at me, "What are you betting?"

I grin, "I'll give you a kiss if you try again."

"Cute." Regina grabs the board and takes a few steps back, getting back on. This time whenever she kicks the board, she lands it easily.

"That was amazing!" Janis cheers her on as she rolls past on her own skateboard.

"I had some motivation." Regina shrugs and walks over to me, grasping the side of my neck and pulling me in for a deep kiss.

I hold her waist and try pulling her closer but she pulls away, taking off her helmet and smirking at me.

"Regina." I say, wanting more.

"Later." She winks and walks over to Damien and Janis who were watching our interaction. "Where to now?"

"The mall, obviously!"

The day ends quickly. At the mall, Regina treated us all to lunch at a sushi restaurant which was delicious. After we ate lunch, I had desert in the bathroom while Janis and Damien had their own deserts at the table.

My desert was better.

"Elle." My mom walks into my room. I adjust my reading classes and close my book as she sits on the edge of my bed. "How was school today?"

I lick my lips and nod, "Good.. it was good."

My mother frowns at my answer. "I got a call from your principal today. You weren't in school today, Elle." She sighs and shakes her head, "Why didn't you go?"

I sit up, "My friends stayed over last night and we slept in.. so we decided to have a fun day. Janis needed it, she's been having home issues-"

"Who was here?"

"Janis, Damien, and Regina."

My mom nods, "Regina seems to be getting you into trouble lately, honey.. I don't know if I want you seeing her anymore."

My heart crumbles, "What..?"

"You skipped school today. You almost got arrested for hooking up with her on private property. What's next? I don't want you with her anymore, Elle." She sighs and tries taking my hand but I yank it away.

"You don't have a choice, mom. I'm sorry but I love her, I'm not breaking up with Regina just to make you happy."

"Elle."

"No mom, you don't get a choice." I pull the blankets over my body and flick off my lamp. "Please close the door when you leave."

My mom stays there for a few seconds before she walks out without saying anything else, shutting my door behind her.

I grab my phone and quickly call Regina, tears fill my eyes as I wait for her to answer.

"Elle? It's late, what's going on?" She says worried, I sniffle. "Baby?"

"Can I stay at your place tonight..?" I ask weakly.

"Yes, yes of course you can." She says quickly. I stay quiet and listen to her move around. "Do you want me to come pick you up?"

I frown and wipe the tears out of my eyes, "If you're allowed to.."

"I'm on my way, don't worry." She stays on the phone with me the entire drive to my house. We don't talk but knowing her presence is there makes me feel better.

When she pulls up outside, I tell my mom I'm leaving for the night. She argues with me and tells me to stay home but I leave anyways.

"Hi baby, what's going on?" I get into the passenger seat as Regina reaches for my hand. "What's bothering you?"

"My mom.. she found out that I skipped school and got angry when I told her I was with you and the others." I sniffle. "Then she said she doesn't want me seeing you anymore and I got upset and-"

"Okay, take a breath and calm down baby." She starts her car and begins driving. "Why doesn't she want you seeing me anymore?"

I take a breath like she told me to and I squeeze her hand. "Because we always get into trouble together."

Regina scoffs, "One time."

I nod, "I know."
