"Where is the princess?" A guy with raven hair asked the other soldier.

"Ah, the princess is still getting ready." The soldier answered. While the man next to him sweat dropped

I wasn't close with my father, as you know King ll. but here I was, standing on top of this stage with him waiting for my dear little sister's arrival. it was gonna be over anyway and I knew she wasn't gonna come of course knowing her, she was probably getting ready for our cousin, Soo-won. all she did was beg our father to let her marry him every time he came. knowing deep down that he would never let her, it still pissed me off.

As of now, I flipping through letters in my chambers, and of course, they're all just some stupid love letters or marriage proposals. you would wonder why a young woman like me hasn't gotten married yet, but the truth is? I have no clue.

Marriage hasn't been on my mind, I was usually either reading or sneaking out, and where? you could say training and I guess you could also say that I go outside the castle, nothing too dangerous and never that far.

I once asked Yona if she wanted to learn how to use daggers or a bow even but she just brushed me off calling it a silly joke and walked away, too bad for her? more time for me.

I signed as I placed the stack of letter onto the coffee table letting one of the maids burn them for a fire, I mean what's the point of keeping them? it's not anything important, if you want to marry me then at least say it in person. I heard a loud knock on my door expecting another one of the maids only too it just being hak.

"Good afternoon idiot" I gave him a small smile

"ya know it would be better if you socialized more instead of locking yourself in your room or getting into trouble." he started leaning to the side holding what I suspected was a bow.

"What brings you here, Hak?" I asked ignoring what he just said, honestly what else is there to do? we aren't even allowed outside the castle.

"Well since you asked- I came to see if you would want to go watch us with archery," he said holding up his old bow it honestly looked like it's been used for centuries, how is that thing even holding on?

"Yeah, right I'll be down in a second" I finally looked up at him

"right." he left after giving me a pat on the head which annoyed me does he not know how long I have to spend on my hair?

After changing out of that uncomfortable short dress I changed into something more casual like shorts or something.

I finally got to the yard seeing that Yona and Father were already there, Quickly noticing that Yona was complaining again I kept a distance but made sure I could still hear them. Yeah, I'm one for drama.

"Oh, Y/n! I didn't see you there" Yona shortens the distance between us

"Yeah, sorry I didn't want to eavesdrop on you and fathers conversation so I decided to wait "
a drop formed on my face as I smiled awkwardly.

"I see, are you here to watch Soo won?" yona blushed as she said his name making me mentally sigh.

"More like hak but you could say that"

Yona was then about to speak before Soo Own called us over on his horse.
"Yona! Y/n! Come ride the horses with us" he waved us over with flowers around him. I just shrugged before Yona dragged me off to the two males

"Come on yona get on!" I watched as Yona walked over and Hak pushed her up.

"Yona have you gained weight? you're crushing me" Hak teased pretending to struggle.

"Shut it! servant!" yona shouted at him before finally getting up making me chuckle at the view in front of me.

hak finally walked over to me and whispered in my ear "Princess, are you riding your horse today and shooting bows? or are you riding with me?" I stepped on his foot while my face heated up. "you know I can't do that father would never let me." I rolled my eyes and somehow managed to get on the horse by myself.

I swear I heard a laugh before Hak got on the horse behind me. after just a couple minutes of riding, I heard some laughs coming to where Yona and Soo-won were. I couldn't help but smile, I know I said it makes me mad, and knowing I would never want to admit it, I'm glad Yona found some sort of happiness after Mother died.

"Someone's having second thoughts." hak said also staring at them.
"As much as I hate to admit it, yeah. I'm glad" My smile got bigger as I giggled.

Hak took his eyes off them and looked at y/n then frowned and mumbled "Why can't that be us." he looked away and thought y/n didn't hear it she did, her blush was as red as Yonas hair

we both saw Soo-won help Yona off the horse which made me start getting off also, I was halfway down when I heard Hak say "Meet me in your room in 10" I gave I'm a concerned nod and then walked away to go see Yona.

I ended up talking to one of the maids about Yona's party and giving ideas.

So currently, I'm walking to my room thinking about what Hak would possibly want from me. I opened the door looked around and saw nobody in there, just as I left it. I sighed, He probably left he did say 10 minutes and I took way longer.

Whatever, I'll just apologize to him later.

I then started changing, unclasping my bra and leaving my shorts on then turning around to get lotion I saw a tall figure staring me down.

you could probably hear a scream from miles away.

"Hak what the living hell are you doing here?!"

"I forgot to knock, shit!"

Hak and Y/n stood from opposite sides of the room, y/n finished changing as Hak had his back turned

"I'm... I'm done." I turned around to see he did also I saw his face was still flustered and probably mine was also.

"Did you see?" y/n asked looking at the ground.

"I.. huh? No, I didn't.." hak looked away.

"Yea.."

silence filled the room.

"A-anyways I thought you had something to say..?" I switched the topic.

"Don't worry about it.. it was nothing. I should probably uh.. go" before y/n could say anything he sped off out the door leaving y/n in there.

I banged my head on the wall in my room as that image of her replayed in my head. "shit, fuck why did I do that"
