Akshara's anniversary surprise

>>>–––– ✨️ ––––<<<<

The atmosphere in the car was heavy with silence, Tara and Vikram sporting matching grumpy frowns as they navigated through the traffic. But when they glanced at Akshara in the rearview mirror, their hearts melted at her innocent obliviousness to their turmoil, her gaze fixed on the bustling road outside, chilling to the peppy song playing on the FM. Their grumps dissolved as they exchanged incredulous looks.

As they arrived home, Vikram trudged with Akshara's bag slung over his shoulder, while Tara held their daughter's hand as she skipped alongside them. In the silent exchange of glances between Tara and Vikram, an unspoken understanding passed between them.

Akshu?

Yenna ma?

Poi kulichitu va, veliya polam

OKAY!

Tara smiled as Akshara hopped to her room and as soon as the door closed, she turned to Vikram,

Munja apdhi vechikadhae Vikram, ava excitement yellam karanju poirum polae.

Vikram with a pout, questioned,

7 vayasula boyfriend? Yendha appa'nachum siripana?

A boyfriend? At seven? The revelation hit them like a playful punchline, leaving them dumbfounded. Their daughter, introduced her Boyfriend who helped her in making them a beautiful card for their anniversary, and inadvertently turned the tables on her parents. What was meant to be a surprise visit at her school ended up surprising them instead, as they found themselves face-to-face with the unexpected presence of Akshara's pint-sized Romeo.

Tara found herself torn between amusement at the adorable antics of the kids and a pang of sadness that this was yet another reminder of their daughter growing up. Hence she opted to embrace the moment's humor, she let out a hearty chortle, directed right at Vikram's surprised face. His reaction was priceless, his eyes widening in disbelief as he stared at her, hands planted firmly on his hips, forming a perfect 'o' with his lips.

Na yevlo kovathula solren, nee sirikirae?

Kova padha yenna iruku? Avanga kozhandhainga Vikram

Adhuku? Phone kudupana avan en ponnuku? Kadala poda paakurana?

Tara's laughter grew even louder at her husband's display of mock indignation, her hand clutching her stomach as tears threatened to spill from her eyes. Vikram, unable to resist her infectious joy, took a sharp inhale before playfully grabbing her shoulders and guiding her towards their room, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

We are talking to her about this at the restaurant

Vikram's tone carried a hint of seriousness, prompting Tara to intervene. She didn't want their child to be caught in her husband's mood swings over what she perceived as a minor issue. Acting out of concern for their daughter, she offered a playful suggestion,

Then let's discuss what we should talk then

and pulled him into the bathroom with her, a mischievous smile dancing on her lips.

Happy Anniversary to you!

The couple exchanged warm smiles as their daughter, Akshara, clapped her hands in excitement while they cut their anniversary cake. It was a cherished family tradition for them; every year on their wedding anniversary, they ventured to a new restaurant together, relishing the opportunity to enjoy a meal as a family of three and embark on a scenic drive afterward. This year, they had chosen a charming riverside restaurant for their celebration. As they savored the moment, surrounded by love and laughter, Tara couldn't help but feel grateful for the beautiful family they had built together.
