A new day has begun and Jaune Arc is currently starting his day with a sleepy look. Hair looking unkempt, the blonde knight sauntered his way to the dining hall. 'Starting off with breakfast is an important meal of the day after all' thought Jaune
Finally getting there, he saw that the cafeteria was barely occupied. It wasn't a surprise as it was only 5 in the morning but it certainly was a surprise to Jaune. Since he was after all saw Professor Glynda and two other individuals eating their meals. To which, the young Arc deduced to be instructors or other staff members of Beacon which was on point
'So they wake up that early as well, huh?' Jaune said to himself as he walked forward. He hoped he didn't catch their attention. Though fate seems to say nay to his hopes as he tripped on a chair making him fall to the ground. That accident of his garnered the attention of the professors nearby.
"That was quite the fall young man" A man wearing glasses appeared before Jaune and was reaching his hand. The young Arc accepted the helping hand and stood up from the ground.
"Thank you for that professor" Jaune said causing the man to raise a brow.
"Pardon me..." He waved his hand for the blonde student's name. "Jaune. Jaune Arc"
"Mr. Arc. I believe this is the first time we've met young man. So why did you think I'm a professor?" He asked, curious of the student infront of him
Jaune felt a bit uncomfortable from his gaze but answered, "It's because you were sitting with Professor Goodwitch. So I figured you might be an instructor or a teacher but maybe I'm wrong"
"No you are indeed correct!" The man said enthusiastically. He fixed his glasses then continued with a smile "The name's Bartholomew Oobleck, and I'm a professor in charge of history class here in Beacon."
"Cool, is your class difficult?" Jaune asked, worried that he might be faced with a hurdle he deemed far worse than facing an alpha level Grimm
"Only if you deem as such Young Arc. The difficulty of learning lessons depends on how good you comprehend the knowledge after all."
Jaune looked at the professor and thought his words are correct. "Indeed" he blurted while smiling at the man. It didn't last long as Jaune's stomach released a grumbling noise that made his cheeks heat up in embarrassment. It didn't help that Professor Oobleck let out a laugh making him more embarrassed. "You should go and eat your fill, Arc and good luck on the initiation" finishing his words Oobleck left Jaune, who went to get his breakfast.
A few minutes later, Jaune is now eating his meal at the table while looking at the outside view courtesy of the glass windows. His big breakfast plate consisted of two cups of rice, an omelette on top. Beside it, there was a small plate of snickerdoodles and a glass of orange juice. It was simply a good meal in Jaune's opinion and he enjoyed it. His scrambled eggs were delicious and accompanied with rice made it better that he finished it in no time. After scarfing that, he cleansed his pallet with the orange juice before finally going for some snickerdoodles. But just as he was about to take a bite...
Ruby appeared appeared out of nowhere and nabbed the cookie in Jaune's hand along with the plate of snickerdoodles on the table. 'What the fuck?' thought Jaune, when he finally registered the unexpected. He turned his head to see the little redhead finishing his morning desert.
After Ruby finished she stiffened at the realization of what she's done. The redhead slowly contorted her head and looked at her blond friend's eyes. "Hehe... Sorry?" She said feeling guilty about her sudden actions but the girl couldn't help it. Anything related to cookies would sometimes make her go into a hunting state for them until she reverts to her normal self after devouring them shaped confections.
