I got back home at around 4. No it does not usually take that long to get from Sandstone park to my house but I decided to stay at the park a little longer before finally getting up and coming back home.

I walk through the door but before I can properly shut it, I hear my mom calling me from the kitchen. "Aelia! Is that you?" She yells as I close the door and take my shoes off. I don't answer right away because I'm already in the kitchen by the time she goes to call out for me again.

"Yeah it's me." I say smiling " How was work?" I asked.

When we moved here my mom immediately started working. For those of you who don't know, my mom, Aerlla, is a dance teacher. She teaches kids from the ages of 4-20, she also teaches pole dancing  classes on the weekend if you know what I mean.

" It was good sweetheart, everyone  very sweet." She finishes, smiling a little. " How was your day?" She asked, continuing to cut up a sweet pepper before throwing it in the pot with everything else.

"It was good, I went for a walk again, I wanted to see Hermine Park." I respond, making my way over to the fridge grabbing a water bottle.

" That's nice, are you excited to start class tomorrow?" She asks, her voice filled with excitement for me.

"Yes actually, I am excited. I can't wait to start  Patterson." I look at my mom with a gentle smile before speaking again. " I will be honest though, I am nervous I won't be able to make friends. You know I get all awkward around people, and it's honestly pathetic at this point." I say with slight worry lacing my voice.

Mom stops what she's doing and turns to look at me. "Listen to me, the things those kids said at your old school were wrong. They were just jealous of you, that's all. And your father, the things he said is nothing for you to worry about. You are going to do just fine making friends at Patterson. Okay?" I smile and nod my head in return before speaking again.

"Do you need any help?" I asked but all my mom does is chuckle. I begin to laugh because I know that as much as she loves my sisters and I's company, when she's cooking, we should leave her to it.

"Alright.. Okay. I get it." I say backing out of the kitchen. But before I can leave I turn to ask one last question, but she beats me to it, "They are in Della's room." She finishes with a hint of amusement.

I nod my head smiling, even though she can't see me. I turn around and walk through the living room straight to Della's room. "Hey guys." I say bursting through the door before shutting it and throwing myself on top of my sisters.

They groan from the impact before chuckling a little. "Hello you heathen." Celia says laughing. I throw my hand over my heart and gasp dramatically.

"Wow, how dare you speak to your queen that way?" I say raising an eyebrow.

"Oh we are so sorry, your highness. Please forgive us for being so rude in your presence." Dellas says rolling me off of her so she can curtsy.

"Yes, yes. We sincerely regret our words." Celia continues, mimicking Della's actions.

I get off the bed and stand in front of them. "You may rise." I say folding my arms, turning my chin up at them.

"Your apologies are accepted. BUT! Never let it happen again." I say with my head held high. We all look at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter.

After a while mom called us for dinner. Once we sat down, we began eating immediately. Talking about our days as well. Once dinner ended, we moved into the living room to watch a movie.

It was now around 9 o'clock and I was getting ready for bed. Before I could get into bed, I heard a knock on my door. "Come in," I called. My mom walks in with a smile. "I just wanted to say goodnight. I'll see you in the morning okay?"

"Okay, good night mom. Love you." I saw smiling at her. She smiles back before saying "Don't stay up too late okay. Remember, you said your class starts at-" before she can continue I finish her sentence for her. "Class starts at 12, yes mom I know. I won't stay up too late. I promise."

She's silent for a while before she starts speaking again. "I love you sweetheart." She says with so much love I can feel every ounce of it. " And you're going to be fine tomorrow okay." My mom has always known how to reassure me, and stop me from overthinking.

I think it's because she speaks with so much conviction that I actually believe it. "Okay, I'm actually going to bed now." She says, actually meaning it this time. "Alright. See ya mom." That's the last thing I said before she turns around and walks out of my room, shutting my door in the process.

I stay up a little longer just scrolling through tiktok and answering any missed message I had before I turn off the lamps and slide under my unbelievably comfortable comforter, wrapping myself in it like a burrito. It's like a cloud is surrounding me and I love it.

Once I finally get in a comfortable position in my human burrito I close my eyes and within seconds the tiredness from today hits me like a tsunami and I'm drifting off to sleep faster than you can blink.
