I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring. I really need to change my alarm to something less headache inducing.

I roll to the other side of my bed, and grab my phone from the nightstand to the left of me.

My eyes still shut, not bothering to open them as I slap my phone screen until the alarm finally stops beeping. I lay in bed for a total of 5 seconds before my mom bursts through my door practically yelling at me to get out of bed.

"Was it actually necessary for you to barge into my room yelling like a drill sergeant?" I groan out, knowing the reason why she entered the way she did.

I lay there with my eyes still closed waiting for my mom to respond but she never speaks. I open my eyes and when I look up, I see her standing there with her arms crossed with her signature hip pop.

I end up getting out of bed and straight into my bathroom without another word because I already know why she woke me up the way she did. Let's say I have a habit of turning off my alarm and telling myself just a few more minutes in bed. Those few minutes turn into me falling back asleep and waking up 3o minutes before I have to leave the house. Oops...

By the time I finished in the bathroom and walked back into my room, my mom's already downstairs listening to Chris Brown while making breakfast.

I walk over to my closet, spending the majority of the time there debating on what to wear. Finally I decided to go with my beige cargos and a cropped white tank top. Moving onto my hair, I opt on putting my curls in a high ponytail. I finish up with my everyday makeup routine, just some simple mascara and lipgloss. I spray some of my setting spray on before I grab my bag from my desk chair and walk over to my closet grabbing my converse and black zip up. I then make my way down the steps and into the kitchen.

"OOO omg, pancakes!!" I say, excitement drenching my words. I reach over the counter grabbing two pancakes and flopping them onto the plate mom placed in front of me.

"Are you excited for today?" My mom asked, placing the last pancake on the plate and putting the pan in the sink. "Yeah, I'm excited, but you know how my nerves are." I say before taking another bite of my pancake.

"You will be just fine. I promise. And if you need anything you know where to find your sisters." Della is a dance major and music minor like I am and Celia is the complete opposite. She's a music major and a dance minor.

"I know mom, and I promise I'll be okay, I just have to adjust first." I say with a slight shake in my voice. Not wanting to talk about it anymore, so I quickly changed the subject. "Where is Celia and Della? Did they leave for class already?"

"Celia left an hour ago, and Della just got in the shower." Mom says before taking a sip of her coffee. I nod my head and finish up my breakfast before washing my dishes and putting on my shoes.

I check the time and see that it's 10:09. I grab my keys and my bag before saying bye to mom, giving her a kiss before walking out the door and to my car. Thankfully it's a 9 minute drive from  Candiceview Hill to Patterson University.

I get there at 10:18 and walk around a little trying to get used to the campus. Afterwards, I begin heading straight to my first class that starts at 11:00. Luckily it's english. The only bad part is that the lecture is an and hour and forty minutes long but nonetheless I pay attention the best I can.

After my English lecture, I walk over to the journalism hall which luckily is only a 2 minute walk across campus. I head over to my screenwriting class which is at 12:45. I sit in this class for another hour before the class ends at 1:15. I go to the performance hall and bee-line to the changing rooms.
