It had already been 15 minutes past 8 when Ichinose left the room. I started digging up more into the recent activities of my father and Tsukishiro.

And because of all that late night research, I woke up later than usual today.

I tried to reach out to Kei many times before going to bed, but she didn't pick up my call. Maybe she is more upset than I thought. I'd have liked to settle things with Kei and walk to school with her today. But as things stand now, it looks like I will be accompanying Ichinose.

Exiting the dorm gate, I saw all those beautiful scenery that amazes me everyday. It was all new to me when I first left the white room but still till this day, after encountering it so many times, it never feels boring.

And there was a maiden in love, who was standing aside from the herd of passing students, trying to conceal her presence as much as possible, waiting for someone she truly admires. These are the thoughts that came to my mind when I looked at Ichinose.

"Good Morning! Ayanokoji-kun."

"Good Morning ~"

"Did you sleep well last night?"

From the expression on her face, it looked to me, she was asking if I had any dreams of her last night. It won't be surprising if I had, after all the things she did to me yesterday.

But unfortunately, I never had a dream about any other person in my whole life. No one is important enough to disrupt me in my sleep.

"Yeah, maybe better than usual"

It won't be good for me to always be seen with Ichinose in public. I want to avoid this scenario as much as possible for now, especially for someone who is close to us either to witness it.

A voice echoed in my ears from a little far behind.

"Ichinose senpaiiii, Good Morning!"

"Good Morning! Akari."

"I want to ask for a help senpai, would you please come?"

"Like, right now ..."

"Yes senpai, this is urgent, please!"

"Okay okay, I would go with you."

"Sorry! Ayanokoji-kun, could we postpone our little walk for the next time?"

"Yeah sure, no problem."

It went as smoothly as expected, only because it was Ichinose. If there would be any other girl, she would've straight rejected her or had thought about it for a moment or two. Sometimes, being too good is also a problem.

That's why it is nearly impossible for Ichinose to beat Ryuen and Sakayanagi and move to class 'A'. Well, maybe it won't be the case in the future. We'll see ...

I luckily arrived all the way to the class without encountering anyone familiar in the way after Ichinose and I were separated.

Everything in the class was all usual, students who should be here by now were already sitting on their seats and who had club meetings to attend before the class had left the empty benches.

Other than those two seats which should be occupied by now were still soulless.

I understand the reason why Kei still hasn't come to class. She may have made the decision to not come today because of the trauma it had left on her by seeing Ichinose entering in my room alone with me.

And for Sato there could only be one reason other than she hasn't fallen ill or gotten any physical injuries. I'm sure as a best friend, Kei has already told everything to Sato about what she had witnessed yesterday, and it doesn't make sense to take a leave just because of this reason. It means Sato must be convincing Kei to come to school and have been late for the classes. Only thing left to see is whether or not Sato could successfully do it.

Without getting into an early morning discussion with anyone, I went for my seat.

"Good Morning! Karuizawa-san."

And before I could sit on my bench, Kei entered the classroom. I looked at her, she also gave a glance back at me but promptly switched it back to the person who greeted her.

"Good Morning! Shinohara-san."

I'm curious what Sato told Kei that changed her initial plan, and for some reason she has been giving me a sharp gaze since she entered the class. Looks like Sato must be shocked after hearing about me & Ichinose for the second time from her best friend.
