Chapter 6: Revelation

"Kei, is it true? You saw Ichinose going into my room alone with me?"

I preferred to confirm things with Kei. I know she definitely saw me and Ichinose yesterday but I'm giving her one more trial to prove her worth. She knows, if she says yes, then our relationship would be as good as ex-couples and ultimately she would lose this battle against Ichinose.

So there is more than a slight possibility that she will reject all the statements made by Sato and confirm what she said was nothing but a series of lies put together to frame me.

She would also have to come up with a plan to explain why Sato would do this in front of all the class especially when sensei is here. I'm curious to see what Kei would do now.

In the worst case scenario, she would affirm Sato's statements and everything gets passed on my shoulders.

"Enough Sato! Why are you saying all these absurd things about 'Ayanokoji'. I've never told you anything like this."

Everyone was surprised including Miss Chabashira, none of them had expected Kei to react like this. Few students here are smart enough to understand what Kei was saying is not true. If Sato was just making everything up till now, she wouldn't have had this much confidence in her statements. But still they can't do anything about it if "the victim herself accepts there is no crime involved. Then there is no crime", no matter how many witnesses were there.

"If your little conversation has been over, I would like to take my leave. I have other important things to look after."

A voice spoke up among the students and it was none other than Koenji.

I am even surprised he is still here in the classroom, I doubt, maybe because it was about me otherwise he wouldn't have waited till now. But looking at him, maybe I'm assuming things, he just would've wanted to laze around.

Before Sato could say anything to Koenji, I spoke up.

"Let me make it clear for you guys. I know you have doubts, who is telling the truth, Kei or Sato. I don't want to keep you in the dark any longer. It's just that I was waiting for the perfect opportunity. It'd be good if you all could listen to what I've to say before starting speaking again"

"Ayanokoji boy, you won't mind if I'm not here to listen to your personal matters, right?"

"It would be good for you too, Koenji. If you can attend this meeting, me sharing my personal matters in public."

"Woah Woah, Ayanokoji boy. If you're that eager to tell me, I would listen. But just make sure, it's something worth my time."

It's good Koenji accepted my offer, his presence today will decide lots of things in the future. I couldn't have accepted him leaving the class right now.

"It might come as more of a shock than any of you has anticipated so I would like you all to hold onto your emotions for next few minutes."

Everyone was looking at me so intensely, as their eyes were telling, how eager they were to know about the matter which made me speak up in front of the whole class for the second time.

"Me and Ichinose had made a contract last night, which stated that if her class would be able to collect 20 million private points till the end of this session. I would switch my class to 'D'."

All eyes which were glaring at me to find an answer just right now had turned into gazes full of shock. And as expected, among them who were most shocked by my words were Horikita and Hirata who lately started to open up more and more with me.

"What are you saying Ayanokoji-kun?" Hirata spoke up, breaking the silence.

"I can understand why Ichinose-san had made such a contract, but why did you agree with it? You don't have a problem betraying your own class."
