Rosé's breath caught at the sight of Jennie, dressed impeccably in a navy blue suit with her hair pulled back in a high pony. The rhythmic click of Jennie's sandals felt like a symphony, each step striking a chord in Rosé's heart. As Jennie entered the restaurant, their eyes met, and a shared history seemed to unfold at that moment. Jennie's stoic demeanour melted away in the warmth of Rosé's presence, revealing a susceptibility that only Rosé's voice could evoke.

Jennie waved in front of her, "Hello there" she flashed her gummy smile already feeling her heart skipping its beat for Rosé.

"Uh...h-Hello, it's unpredictable to see you here. How did you know I was here?" Rosé couldn't help questioning primarily staring into Jennie's eyes.

Jennie pressed her lips in a grin, "There is nothing in the world I want and I won't get. I need to see you, and I promised to be here, didn't I?"

Rosé's heart wrenches as if it desires to vault out of her chest to crash into Jennie's arm. She smiled chuckling, "What are you Mafia or something?"

Jennie shrugged lifting her hand for Rosé, "You'll be surprised to know,"

"Than I rather not know,"

Rosé grabbed Jennie's hand as her eyes's pupils expanded at the feeling or was it because she never held hands with anyone she was attracted to? She couldn't differentiate between though right at the moment she liked how Jennie was scrutinising her. In the midst of the mundane, their bewildering bind played out—a silent oath that there was more to discover, more to know. Jennie's smile and lifted hand hinted at a familiarity that surpassed the ordinary, setting the stage for a pilgrimage into the depths of their intertwined encounter.

Rosé towed Jennie inside by taking Jennie's hand, "It's strange, isn't it? I feel like I know you from somewhere, beyond this lifetime."

Jennie chuckled, "I was about to say the same. There's something about you that feels familiar, like an echo from a forgotten dream."

They delved into the moment that transcended the confines of conventional curtain-raisers, their remarks became a dance of recognition. The puzzling affinity between them emerged in the shared glances and the pauses pregnant with implicit sentiments. They knew nothing about one or another though it felt like they knew too much.

Rosé led the way as slowly as possible to spend most of the alone time with Jennie and Jennie who was consistently in a haste strolled more gradually not able to understand Rosé's spark in her.

Rosé beamed, "Have you ever felt like you've known someone your entire life, even if you just met them?"

"Yes, it's almost like catching a fleeting glimpse of a past that's just beyond the reach of memory." Jennie's mouth spoke for her as if it was used to respond to Rosé's bizarre and baffling queries.

The restaurant lights framed their path, casting an otherworldly glow on the unfolding dialogue. The profoundness of their unknown yet familiar emotions resonated in the way their words lingered as if each sentence carried the weight of a shared history.

"Do you believe in fate? That our paths are somehow entwined?" Rosé questioned, her heart never felt at consolation. It was destiny to have its divine path to make their story more beautiful than the previous one.

"I'm starting to believe that there's more to our connection than mere chance. Perhaps our souls have met before." Jennie played along presuming Rosé was flirting and Rosé spoke her heart considering Jennie was flirting with her.

Both are unaware that they are speaking the truth. The dinner detachment loomed ahead, a backdrop to a conversation that transcended the boundaries of time. Destiny, the unseen orchestrator, guided their exchange with a sense of inevitability.
