( on the phone )

Miss Benson:  Hello Rosy, where are you? aren't you coming to the office?

Roseline: I just resigned. I won't be coming to the office anymore.

Miss Benson: you must be joking right. you know what, I will come over when I close from work.

Roseline: alright then.

( call ended ).

( I thought she and the boss were cool now, what then happened along the way?. Miss Benson murmured to herself)

Miss Benson: good morning Sir,

( he walked few steps away before turning back to reply her )

Maxwell: how are you today? Miss Benson.

Miss Benson: I am fine Sir

Maxwell: as Miss Johnson arrived yet?

Miss Benson: not at all Sir.

Maxwell: have you spoken to her today?

Miss Benson: just now Sir. she won't be co.....
( foot steps approaching)

Raphael: hello Miss Benson, hello Maxwell.

Miss Benson: Raphael! you are here?

Raphael: yes, I came to drop this on behalf of my sister.

( Maxwell quickly collected the letter)

Maxwell: resignation letter?

Raphael: it is

( Maxwell tore the letter to pieces)

Maxwell: tell her that I won't accept it. if she wants to resign, she should come herself .

Raphael: ( sighs). Miss Benson, have a wonderful day.

( he walked out of the company)

( she cannot just resigned because of that. Raphael murmured to himself while going to his office).

( he brought out his phone to make a call)

when did you plan on telling me that Roseline resigned?

Melody: cousin, it is not my story to tell and besides you already know. it doesn't change anything

Maxwell: this is how it is now

Melody: what you did was wrong and now, she doesn't want to see you anymore

Maxwell: is it possible to bring her on my birthday?

Melody: Sophia and I spoke to her about it and she is not sure

Maxwell: take her to your place tomorrow then, I will come over to see her.

Melody: cousin, I don't want my bestie to get hurt

Maxwell: I don't bite. and so you know, I am your cousin

Melody: ( sighs). what time tomorrow?

Maxwell: 6pm

Melody: alright. you have to come before she comes. use Sophia's car.

Maxwell: alright then. thanks

( door knocked)

Miss Benson: Sir, should I inform Miss Johnson of the letter?

Maxwell: not at all. just let her be

Miss Benson: alright Sir.
