Private detective Kevin Kris and the chief of police of New York were having lunch at one of the cozy restaurants in Manhattan.

The police chief told him that a murder had occurred in a New York suburb last night. He sent one of his best men to the crime scene to conduct an investigation and prepare a preliminary report on the incident.

Interested, the private detective asked to see the report. The police chief handed the detective a folder with a sheet that read as follows:

"When I arrived at the scene, the door was open, and a man aged between 40 and 45 was found dead on the floor. He was dressed in an expensive black suit. The lights and fan were on. Some items were found on the table:

· one open bottle of poison,

· one bottle of drinking water half full,

· one ballpoint pen with dried ink,

· one newspaper was opened, pages 9 and 10 facing each other,

· one desk calendar with the date June 20th,

· one notebook, open on a page with the inscription 1239777 John D.

The man took his own life by drinking poison."

Afterreading the incident report, Kevin Kris immediately understood that it was afake. How did he know that?
