In the car on our way to our café shift, Faith and I are chatting about our latest TV obsession, Skins. Faith can't stop talking about Tony, the troublemaker.

'Have you seen Tony? He's, like, so hot!' she says, practically bouncing in her seat.

I laugh and shake my head. 'I don't know, Faith. He seems like a player to me. I like guys who are a bit nicer.'

'But that's what makes him fun!' she argues. 'He's got that bad-boy vibe, and you know you love it deep down!'

'Maybe,' I say with a smirk. 'But I like characters who actually care about other people, not just cause drama.'

As we sit in traffic, we jump from Skins theories to real-life gossip. 'Did you see the party episode? It was crazy!' Faith says, her eyes wide.

'Yeah! I was just waiting for someone to get kicked out,' I reply, laughing. 'And what about Michelle? She's so nice but can totally handle Tony when he gets out of line.'

'Right? I feel bad for her sometimes. She really cares about him, even when he's being a jerk,' Faith says, rolling her eyes. 'But you can't help but root for them, right?'

'For sure! I love how she stands up to him. It makes their story way more interesting,' I say, smiling.

Even though we like different TV crushes, I really enjoy these car rides with Faith. It's awesome to talk about everything and bond over our love for all the drama.

When we finally pull up to the café, the busy vibe brings me back to reality. 'Okay, time to get to work!' I say, ready to dive into our shift.

As Faith and I work through our shift at the café, a cute guy walks in. He has really dark eyes and black hair that really stands out.

He comes up to the counter and smiles. "Hey! What's good here?"

I can't help but smile back. "Definitely the iced latte. They're our specialty."

He leans in a little closer, looking interested. "Iced latte, huh? I'll take one then. But I hope the coffee's as good as the company," he says with a cheeky grin.

I laugh, feeling my cheeks warm up. "Well, I guess you'll have to come back to find out!"

"Challenge accepted!" he replies, his eyes sparkling. We keep talking, and it feels easy to joke around with him.

As I hand him his iced latte, I notice how cute he looks when he smiles. "So, what else do you recommend?" he asks, taking a sip.

"Honestly, just come back and try everything," I say, feeling more relaxed. "But if you want something sweet, the pastries are awesome too."

He nods, looking like he's thinking it over. "Good to know. I might have to come back for a snack and see you again," he says, making me laugh again.

"Definitely do! I'll save you a cookie," I reply, enjoying our fun chat.

After a few more minutes, he waves goodbye and leaves. As soon as he's out the door, Faith raises her eyebrows and grins. "So, who was that guy? He was totally into you!"

I shrug, trying to play it cool even though I feel a bit excited. "Just a customer. He seemed nice," I say, but I know Faith can see through me.

"Uh-huh, sure. Why didn't you get his number? He was totally your type!" she teases.

I hesitate, biting my lip. "I don't know. He's just not really my type. Plus, I'm not looking for anything right now," I say, trying to change the topic.

As we finish our shift, I can't stop thinking that he looks familiar. I really should have asked for his name. "What was his name?" Faith asks, clearly curious.
