As I sit at the back of the classroom with Lorenzo, I keep glancing at the front where the teacher is talking about World War II. I can't focus at all, the lesson feels like it's going on forever. Lorenzo is cracking jokes, and I can't help but laugh a little at his funny comments.

Suddenly, the teacher clears his throat, and everyone quiets down. "Alright, everyone, we're going to play a fun activity!" he says. I lean forward, feeling a spark of excitement. "The left side will compete against the right side. Get ready to show your teamwork skills!"

My heart races at the thought of the game. I really hope I end up on Misa's team. The idea of working with her and having fun makes me feel good. I listen closely as the teacher explains the game, feeling the energy in the room. This could be a great chance to hang out with Misa and enjoy class for once.

As our team gathers to go over the game plan, Noah steps forward, acting like he's in charge. He's got everyone's attention, and I notice Misa standing at the edge, listening carefully. I'm not sure why, but it bugs me a little that she's looking at him like that. Noah finishes laying out his plan, then glances over at Misa. "What do you think, Misa? Sound good?"

She pauses, then nods thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's a solid plan. But maybe we could try covering both sides a bit more," she suggests. Noah's face lights up, nodding. "Good idea!" he says, like he's impressed. I try to keep a neutral expression, but something about the way they're talking makes me feel a little... off. I shake it off, telling myself it's just the game getting in my head.

Just then, Rina leans over to me with a playful smile. "Hey, Leo, gotta say, you're looking pretty good today," she teases, giving me that look. I smirk back, shrugging casually. "Thanks, Rina," I say, giving her a little grin. Flirting just kind of happens it's not like I'm trying with her or anything. It's just how I am, I guess.

Rina seems pleased with my response and leans back, but my focus is back on Misa. She's nodding along as Noah  finishes up the plan, and I can't help feeling that sting of jealousy.

With a big cheer, our team wins against side right, earning us a free pass on homework for the week. The teacher gives us props, even telling us we can just relax for the rest of class. The room's full of energy, people high-fiving and celebrating. I'm hanging out with some classmates, laughing and joking around. But I keep catching Misa and Noah out of the corner of my eye.

They're over by the window, talking and laughing. Noah's showing her something on his phone, and Misa's leaning in, smiling at whatever it is. I try to play it cool, acting like I don't even notice. But, honestly, it's kind of hard to ignore. They seem close, like they're sharing some inside joke, and even though I tell myself it's just two friends talking, it bugs me a bit.

I pull out my phone to check messages, trying to look busy. Around me, a bunch of people are on their phone , and a few are just chatting. I join in the laughs, pretending to be totally focused on my classmates conversation. But every now and then, I look back at Misa and Noah. She laughs at something he says, and he grins, looking pretty proud of himself.

I try not to let it get to me. It's no big deal, right? Just two classmates chatting. But, deep down, I wish it was me over there, making her laugh like that.

Rina: "Hey, Leo, what's your type?"

Leo: "I don't really have one."

Rina: "Come on, everyone has a type. What kinda person are you into?"

Leo: "I dunno, haven't really thought about it."
