Not together anymore

He scored. We won! The whole crowd and team cheered. I jumped onto the ice with the rest of the team. We all hugged Goldberg who was still in shock from what had happened. I hugged Charlie and Julie.

Then I went to Adam "We won, baby." I cheered. He kissed me.

"For Hans." Tears formed in my eyes.

I felt hands on my shoulder. When I turned around, I saw my mom and dad.

"We're so proud of you honey." Mom said.

"Oh my god. I didn't even know you guys were here." I was so happy.

"Yeah, not for long though. But we spoke to Mrs. and Ms. Banks and they would like to have you sleepover until we are done filming." My dad said, looking at Adam who had a smile on his face. I hugged my parents tight before heading back to the team.

I saw Scooter give Julie a kiss on her cheek. So adorable. Luis was making out with Cindy. That's new.

Charlie and Linda also kissed. Wow, a lot of us found love.

Bombay stepped onto the ice. He first went to Charlie before coming to me.

"I'm so proud of you, Ki. I'm speaking for myself and for Hans. Sorry he can't be here right now. But I'm one hundred percent sure he's looking at you from up there." I gave Bombay a hug. He had to leave very soon after but everyone was so happy to see him.

After the game, everyone went home and later that night we met up at Charlie's house. Linda, Scooter and Cindy were there too. The girls are so nice. Not the snobs I expected.
We all just sat around the dinner table.

"So, what now?" Kenny asks.

Dwayne looked confused. "What do you mean what now?"

Kenny sighed. "Well, the school term is also over now. How about the team? We're not going to be able to be together forever."

"I have to go home, I think." Julie said sad.

"Yeah I have to go home too. I don't know where to stay else." Portman said.

Connie looked at me. We had the same thought. "What about Julie stays with me, at least for the summer vacation. Dean can stay with you, Fulton?"

Fulton nodded with a smile.

"I have another idea. I will have to talk to my parents but maybe that will solve the problem." I said.

Everyone looked curios. "Well Ki, tell us then!" Russ said.

"Okay okay. I will stay with Adam until my parents are back so, our house will be empty till after the summer. I can ask if you guys can stay until they are back? I'm not sure if I care, I don't think so but"

"Just ask. If they don't care, that's good. But if they don't want it, its good either." Kenny said.

"I will let you guys know. For now, just enjoy the time we have together." Adam squeezed my hand after I said that.

After a few hours, only Charlie, Adam and me were left. It felt good to be with those two boys. They mean the world to me. We watched a movie before Adam and I went to his house.

My parents were still there.

"Mom, dad." I started. I kinda hated to ask this question but I have to ask. "So, Julie, Kenny, Dean, Dwayne, Russ and Luis have to leave soon. We just want one last summer with each other before they all go to their home town. Can they maybe stay at our house until you guys are back?" I looked at them.

They looked at each other. After a few seconds they nodded at each other. "We are okay with it, but a few rules. No big parties, just the Ducks. No big messes and no broken things when we get back." My dad said.

I jumped up to hug them. "I promise everything will be the same when you guys get back. I'll check every weekend and I'll clean. And I'm sure the rest of the Ducks will help."

We talked some more before I said goodbye to my parents again. They had a night flight back to the Teen Wolf set.

Adam and I went to bed. We just laid there and cuddled.

"What's your plan after summer?" Adam asked.

I thought about it. "I don't know. I guess stay here and maybe reopen grandpa his store. What about you?"

"I looked at houses in Canada. I'm thinking about moving there, Ki." He looked at me.

I sat up. "What?"

"Yeah. My parents are helping me look. Canada is really cool. I can grow bigger in hockey there."

"You can grow bigger here too." I said.

"Yeah but I don't want to stay here forever." He answered.

"What about me? What about us?" I said on an annoyed and sad tone.

"I'm sure we'll figure it out." Adam looked hopeful at me.

I stood up. "I think i'm gonna sleep home tonight."

Adam stood up as well and grabbed my wrist. "What? Why?" His eyes teared up a little.

"You're gonna leave me, just like my parents and Hans. If you leave, I have nothing left here." I said.

"You have Charlie and the rest of the Ducks. Or you could come with me. And it's not even official yet."

I sat down on his bed again. "I can't come with you, Adam. And Charlie and the rest are my best friends but I need you here. But you're right. It's not even official."

Adam looked down with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Ki."

"No no no, i'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted like that. I want you to be happy, so if you wanna go to Canada, you should. We will work it out." I wrapped my arms around him. "I love you."

"I love you too." He kissed me. "And we still have the whole summer, you know."

I smiled. "You're right." He smiled too.
