It's been 3 years since we said goodbye to the ducks, I was 18 now. Julie, Kenny, Dean and Luis came to visit here once but now the contact had faded.

The ducks who are from here, Connie, Guy, Charlie, Fulton, Goldberg, Averman and me are still in contact. We see each other almost every weekend. Connie and Guy were still together. Charlie and Linda weren't. I don't know what went wrong.

Adam is not part of that anymore. He made his dream come through. He now lives in Canada. The breakup was pretty painful, still is sometimes. We talked good about it and it was better for the both of us. We tried for a little but long distance didn't work. But I'm happy he made his choice and I am proud of him. He had his life there now. We had contact sometimes but not often. I didn't know anything about his life there. I still visited the Banks family sometimes though.

Charlie and I were working in the store.

"I heard your mom and dad are gone again?" Charlie asked while checking the money in the bank.

I sighed and sat down. "Yeah they're filming the last season. After this it's done, thankfully."

He laughed. "It does mean that you're home alone again. We can invite people if you want?"

"Like who? We only have the ducks and we're already hanging out every weekend." I looked at him.

He thought about it. "Good point, we don't have any friends."

We laughed.

"What's so funny?" The door openend and we heard a familiar voice.

Charlie opened his mouth and ran to the person. "Hey man!"

I turned around. "Adam? Oh my god, it is you!" I ran to him and hugged him. I looked at him.

"Hi Kiara. How are you?" He smiled and grabbed me tight again.

"I'm good! How about you?" I let go of him and we walked with the three of us to my house.

"I'm good!" He smiled.

We sat down.

"What are you doing here? You still live in Canada, right?" Charlie asked.

Adam looked down. "Yeah I do. But I am thinking about moving back to Minnesota, back with my parents."

"Really?!" Charlie asked happy.

Adam laughed. "Yeah."

"That's awesome, Adam." I smiled and blushed.

We talked the whole night and Adam and Charlie left to go home.

"We can hangout here again tomorrow night? Maybe invite the ducks?" I suggested.

"Yeah, that'll be great." Charlie gave me a hug before stepping in his car.

Adam walked here. He hugged me and pulled back. He looked me straight in the eyes. I thought we were about to kiss but, he pulled away.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have done that." He shook his head.

I grabbed his wrist. "It's okay, we have time." I smiled, so did Adam before he walked home.

Soon after they left, I fell asleep.

The next day Connie and I went to the mall. We had already been to a few shops before we got lunch. While lunch I told her about Adam.

"So, something happened last night." I began.
