Alec is 13 he lives with his brother. His brother often comes home drunk, but alec doesn't care because it's still his brother at the end of the day.. the only person he has left
"James, are you awake!"
Alec just woke up he doesn't remember anything from last night other than he woke up, and the pill drawer is opened, and the lock is nowhere to be seen
"James!"
Alec walked over to his brothers room
"James..?"
He was asleep, hopefully. His breathing is ruff, and there's a note beside his bed
Alec walked over and shook his brother"James, this isn't funny anymore. Just get up.. please, james, i dont like this game. "
Alec didn't have a phone, and james lost his on a drunk night he wanted to scream, but there would be no one to get him if james died. hes on his own.
"James please you selfish bastard get the fuck up please.. i need you please i cant do this without you."
Still nothing. His breathing had stopped by now the reaked of cigarettes and alcohol. Alec just cried he sobbed like it would bring his brother back but nothing will, will it.
Two days later alec had a day to pick up all his stuff before child protective services came he burried his brother yesterday he still hasn't read the note its still on the same place his brother left it with his old knife their dad gave him. Alec walked into james room and sat on his bed
"For fucks sake james why did you have to fucking go kill yourself.." alec muttered to himself like he was going to get an answer
he picked up the note not to open it just to put it in his bag. He was honestly scared to look around his brothers room the first thing he saw was his brothers treasured Nintendo 64. Alec was never allowed to play it because his brother always hid it. It felt wrong turning it on and seeing his brothers name Ingraved into ths controller "property of james smith" he always did that with stuff he owned because our dad would always let his friends over and they always stole stuff, well thats what james told alec he never actually knew himself because their dad died when alec was 3 and james never told him much about their parents other than they were bad people and he was lucky he never had memories of them.
