Chapter 9: You can't catch me

Wednesday's POV

That fast?

Me and Enid look at each other not sure what to say.

"I received a call from my dad, he said he was able to track the number you gave" she said as she slips her phone out and scrolls down to it.

"It's not really specific but it's showing that he is within the Nevermore premises. He sent me his location" she shows us her phone screen showing a graph of a map.

The map was zoomed in that the outline our school is visible and I can see the red dot in it.

"That means we can track him!" Enid says excitedly and quickly hugs her tightly.

She chuckles hugs her back.

"Yeah that idiot was not really careful on cleaning his tracks"

I cleared my throat to get their attention. They quickly pulled away from their hug. I rolled my eyes.

"Since we know he's in Nevermore, all we need to do is know this idiot."

"Right, but he is in Nevermore, how will we know if it's him?" Enid said.

Jesse shrugs "I don't know, lure him out?"

"He knows what we are doing, the best way he can do is show up." I point at Jesse's phone "Once that dot moves, we'll follow him."

They both nod in agreement.

"So we wait then?" Jesse with a certainty in her voice

"If he's a student surely he would probably just be here in school" Enid says.

Jesse chuckles "Seriously, many students are skipping class to go out unless you're a decent, had a miserable life and boring student"

Enid rolls her eyes "Yeah I know that, but what if he knows we're onto him? Surely he has plan right?"

"Not if we catch him first." I glance at Jesse "I need you to monitor if he moves."

Jesse nods "Will do"

"What do we do if we catch him?" it's clear she is nervous in her tone. She is fidgeting her hands.

Jesse holds her hand to calm her down "Don't be nervous wolfie, we'll report him if we do"

Wolfie?

What a hilarious nickname.

I notice her cheeks were flushed by what she called her.

I gave them a dirty look "We will not report him."

They both look at me with disbelief.

"Why not?" they said simultaneously that made my eyebrows narrowed at them.

"I don't trust the sheriff, his works are quite inadequate and impractical. I don't even know how he got entitled as a sheriff. "

"I mean yeah, he could be lacking but they are still the authorities Wednesday" Enid says displeased by what I said.

"I don't care. He will be handled by me and me alone." I said it with full commitment.

"You know we can get in trouble with that right?" Jesse says tentatively, not agreeing with the situation.

"As long as we are careful they won't catch us."

"Ofcourse, you're an Addams. You always do and get what you want" Jesse shakes her head and chuckles.

"Why do we even doubt you" Enid continues.

Jesse's POV

I've been monitoring this stalker for 2 hours and he still haven't move yet. My eyes are getting tired for staring at my phone for too long.
