(Reese's pov)

As soon as she started looking at me with those "I don't know what to do" eyes i knew i had to confront her as soon as i could about her sudden change. She was acting so odd and i just had to know what was going through that mind of hers. She's always told me what was wrong with her and i could tell she was holding back."Hey-" I said as i got cut off by my phone ringing. I sighed and turned my phone over looking at the caller it was my sister Camila. "Damn Camila you always find the worst moments to fucking call." I said under my breath answering the phone. "what?" I said putting the phone up to my face. "What are you doing?" she asked. It sounded like she was at Paige's by the sound of Paige yelling at her game. "Hanging out with Katie." I answered using her nickname then looking at her. She was hypnotized by her phone. "Well you should bring Kate over back home for spring break." She said giggling at Paige in the background. "No what the heck why?" that was super random but i'm not opposed to it. "Because while your helping me get with 'ahem' you know who-". She said under her breathe."I can help you get with Kate while we all chill together." She said i could honestly just see her smug face from behind the screen. "Yeah fine whatever." I said rolling my eyes a little. "Thank you big sis,love you,goodbye," she said insanely fast hanging up the phone. Kate looked up at me."So what did little Reese want?" She said using that annoying nickname for my little sister. " You wanna come to Texas,This spring break" I blurted out randomly."Oh, yeah sure." She said looking surprised at first but then smiling. In my head I was thinking about how she convinced Paige to come to Texas but that was a question for later.

(time skip after practice)
That was our last practice till after spring break I felt pretty relieved. I was Sitting in the living room while Kate was in her room. I had gotten bored she hadn't really talked to me like she usually does since the cafe. I decided to just head to her myself if she wasn't gonna come to me then I was gonna come up to her then. I walked towards her room door knocking. "Come in." she said. I twisted the nob looking at her bed facing me. She was sitting down on her phone with joggers and a sports bra on. I walk towards her bed laying down next to her. laying on my stomach looking up at her.We had a whole minute of silence. I couldn't take it anymore she needed to talk right now. "Why are you not talking to me?" I said filling the silence with words. She paused a little and set her phone down next to her looking down at me. "What are you talking about Reese?" She said chuckling a little. "I'm talking about this I mean you just called me Reese. You barely call me just Reese and we just sat through a whole minute of silence we've never done that either. If there's something wrong just tell me." I said sitting up to get a better look at her to show her that I was serious. She stared at me in my eyes. Her eyes quivering every now and then. "Reese...If I tell you, you can't leave me or get mad okay." She said sighing and taking a deep breath. "Promise." She grabbed my hands. "Reese I like you, No... I love you and I'm scared you don't feel the same. I want you and I'm scared you don't want me." She said looking down. I was stunned I never would have thought she liked me. I decided I wasn't gonna let my mind run me right now and let my heart do the decisions. I lift up her face slowly. "I love you to Kate." I said. She looked at my eyes then down at my lips. Before I knew it she pulled me into her lap and kissed me. It was a passionate kiss that I'd never felt before with anyone. We both closed our eyes her hand around my waist and mine around her shoulders. I don't think I'll ever regret this. Ever.
