The soft glow of dawn filtered through the curtains of Mika and Y/N's room, casting a gentle light upon Y/N's face as she stirred from her sleep. Rubbing her eyes, the H/C stretched her arms up before pulling back the covers and stepping onto the cold hardwood floor. The transition from winter to spring was still in effect, leaving the house chilled without a functional heater.
The H/C shivered, sliding her feet into her slippers. They were white, with small ears, a nose, and a tail to represent a bunny. Mika had bought them recently, wanting to match the girl with the pink pair she'd bought herself. Obviously, their father had a green pair to mimic a dragon instead.
Trudging to the bathroom, the H/C began to get ready for the school day, stepping into the shower and turning it onto the warmest setting she could. 'I'm so fucking cold.' She thought to herself, letting the water warm her up before she stepped out and wrapped herself in a towel, drying herself off before slipping on her uniform.
Stepping over to the sink, she began brushing teeth, than using the various skincare products lining the shelf. Mika had taught Y/N to take care of her face, ensuring she followed a strict skincare routine to keep her complexion clear and healthy. As she applied the moisturizer, Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards her sister for always looking out for her.
"Good to see you're using the new products I bought you N/N!" Mika exclaimed as she walked into the bathroom, grabbing her toothbrush from the counter. "You know N/N, you're really pretty, and I'm not just saying that cause you're my sister. You're lucky I know what stuff to buy you, means you can be a total babe without worry!" The brunette girl exclaimed again, grabbing her sister from behind in a tight hug.
Mika was really into her skincare, along with makeup. She was always trying new things from her work, seeing as she worked at Japan's biggest beauty retail store. She'd passed this hobby down to her sister, with the pair sharing all their makeup and beauty products, and getting ready each morning together.
"N/N, can I pleaseeeee do your makeup today? I'll be super subtle I promise! I got this new blush and I just really wanna try it on you!" Mika whined clinging onto Y/N, sliding to her knees and pushing her hands together in a begging position. "Mimi, I can't wear any to school! They'll just make me wipe it off." The H/C reminded her sister with a frown.
Y/N L/N was considered one of the prettiest girls at Hanami Junior High, despite her lack of friends and intimidating nature. Too bad her personality scared everyone off. She really didn't need any makeup, but, it definitely was a confidence booster. "Please! They won't even notice I promise!" Mika whined. Y/N couldn't help but chuckle at her sister's persistence, knowing full well that Mika's definition of "subtle" makeup could sometimes border on extravagant. But there was no denying the bond they shared over their beauty routines, and Y/N found comfort in their morning rituals together.
"Alright, fine. But just a little blush, okay?" Y/N relented, giving in to Mika's puppy-dog eyes as she leaned in to inspect the new product. Mika squealed with delight, her excitement palpable as she eagerly began to work her magic on Y/N's face. With gentle hands, Mika applied the blush with precision, blending it seamlessly into Y/N's cheeks to create a natural flush. She then added a touch of lip balm and mascara, enhancing Y/N's features without overpowering her natural beauty.
"Tada! You look stunning, N/N," Mika declared with a satisfied grin, stepping back to admire her handiwork. "Now, go conquer the day with that gorgeous face of yours!" She said, squeezing her little sister's cheeks, avoiding the blush she'd just applied. Y/N couldn't help but smile at her sister's enthusiasm, feeling a surge of confidence wash over her as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. "Thanks Mimi, you're the best." Y/N gave a small smile to her sister before heading out of the bathroom to let her sister shower. "Oh also, are you okay with some fruit and yoghurt for breakfast?" The H/C called out to her sister, hearing a "Yeah sounds perfect!" echo back.
