Kenma was drenched. It began to rain harder when he parted ways with Kuroo on their way home, and his frail old umbrella had given up on him. His pudding-colored hair was soaked with rainwater as he tried to fasten the pace of his walk home.

It was just an unlucky day.

"I'm home," he announced as he entered the house. He removed his shoes, which were also soaked, and he's left with the feeling of his socks still wet.

"Welcome home," he heard as he hurried to the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Kokoe arrived at Ryosuke's. "Welcome back, Empress," Ryosuke spoke and abandoned the channel he was watching.

"The gaming community is left shocked as..." the news channel could only be faintly heard from the doorstep.

"The magic mirror is bogus," she complained, "it said it would have been sunny today."

"That's right, I also looked it up at the thing humans call the Internet. Their archives say that weather reports aren't always very accurate, Empress."

"Television? Internet?" She remained to be clueless.

"Apparently you can find everything on this Internet. Look at this thing called... phone."

Kokoe spent the whole night surfing through the internet with her new discovery. It was just like a teenager getting their hands on their first phone, which wasn't very far from reality.

"Will it rain tomorrow?"

"Parasols"

"Ageba"

"Nekoma"

The Internet had answers to everything, but it lead to even more questions as she read the ads on the screen.

"Bring out the best in you," the makeup ads displayed.

"Hair curling tips with this new styling wand."

"A scent irresistible to him. Get yours today."

"Ryosuke," she called for him.

"Yes, Empress?" and he hurriedly came to her room upon hearing her voice.

"I want this," she pointed at her phone.

Ryosuke took a good closer look at the ads and gave her a nod. Summoning and creation spells were his forte. And in this world, the only skills he has retained.

"Alright."

Now with his eyes closed, he held his hand up to chest level and chanted a spell. Kokoe sat back and smiled, it has been a while since anyone spoke of any spells or incantations.

Ryosuke felt something light on his hand, too light.

"Oh you idiot."

It was a mere poster printout of the ad.

Kokoe was nowhere to be found in school that next day. Not a glimpse of her in the cafeteria, not even in her own classroom.

"Where's your girlfriend, Kenma?" Yamamoto asked after training, to which Kenma paid no mind.

"Yeah, where is she?" Lev asked, who apparently also got the news somewhere.

"Whatever."

"All grumpy because his little girlfriend isn't around," Yamamoto murmured to Lev.

"I'm going," he said in monotone.

"Yeah, you go ahead first. I'll catch up," Kuroo said. He was still arranging the things in the storage room.

Kenma went straight to the locker area. Today was quiet and peaceful, especially compared to the days when Kokoe would bring so much chaos and noise.

He grabbed his belongings and pushed the door. The closing then led him to a different view.

Kokoe stood there. It gave him quite the fright. She tried not to giggle at the sight of him.

"Did you miss me?" It was the same playful and prideful tone.

His brows slightly knitted and he let out an almost unnoticeable scoff.

"I didn't even know you didn't go today."

"Right," she chuckled, unaware of how flushed his cheeks were.
