Love Under Oath

Chapter 4

Troyes POV

The week flies by and before I know it, it's the day of my appointment with Connor.

I get ready to go, hop in my car and it won't start. Great, this is all I need.

I do the only thing I can do and that is to call Ricky and ask him for a lift. He jumps at the chance to take me as he has been picking on me all week as I haven't been able to get the smile off of my face as it got closer to today.

I know that I have fallen for Connor with just 1 meeting. You may as well say love at first sight.

All the way to the office Ricky keeps picking on me saying Troye's in love. I turn to him and say shut up, just wait you will get yours when the time comes.

As we stop at the building that houses Connors office Ricky says my mate works here. I get out and Ricky follows me. I turn to Ricky and say quite sassily You right there. I'm a big boy. I can go by myself. I don't need daddy holding my hand. Ricky laughs and says I'm going to see my friend that works here. Mutter yeah right you just want to spy on this guy.

We get up to the floor Connor is in and Ricky is still following me. I turned to him and put my hand on his chest and said you don't need to follow me.

He follows me into the office and he says no way is your counsellor Connor. I nod my head and he says that's my mate that I wanted you to see. I know he will help you. But I need to tell you I don't think he is gay. Sorry mate.

I just ignore Ricky until Connor comes out and he smiles once he sees Ricky and I sitting together. He comes up and hugs Ricky and says surprise to see you here mate. What are you doing here? Ricky says I dropped Troye here as his car wouldn't start. Troye is my partner on the force. I didn't know you worked with the police force now. I turned to Ricky and said ok dad you can wait in the car. Connor laughs and says I see we have a bit of sass. Ricky says he always does. I will meet you in the car Troye.

I walk out of the session with another appointment for next week. I cant wait until then as I really want to get to know Connor better. Just as a friend if what Ricky says is true and he isn't gay, I really think he is. I can feel it.

I walk down to the car and Ricky says hey mate how did it go. I nod my head saying good I need to come back next week. I cant help the smile that comes to my face as I say this and Ricky says oh mate you have it bad. I just stick my finger up and get in the car.

Ever since meeting Connor last week I have felt a lot better. I didn't tell anyone this but my mental health was declining badly but meeting Connor has brought that back up.

The next day I had a shift but Ricky wasn't there. I had Kian who was a friend of Ricky's. I actually think he is a friend of Connors too as Kian said something during the shift about how they all went out the night before for dinner and Ricky got sick. I made a mental note to call in to see Ricky on my way home after shift.

After my shift I called in to see Ricky. He looked awful but said he should be back tomorrow. I hope as I cant relax when I have a new partner. Ricky I can relax with as he makes me feel at ease. Ricky also knows my secret that only my family knows other than Ricky. I haven't even bought it up with Connor.

I like to write songs in my spare time. I have a song book hidden at home with my songs in it.

I wrote one the other night about how Connor got me a happy little pill. I was given new depression medication for my first session with Connor.

Connor has helped me more than he knows.

As the weeks pass I still go and see Connor every week like he wants me too.

My last session was yesterday and Ricky is picking on me today as he can see that I still like Connor. He is trying to talk me into asking Connor out but I cant. Not yet anyway.

Ricky's POV

I can see that Troye is in love with his counsellor and I'm trying to get him to ask him out but he wont. I'm also trying to figure out who it is but that question got answered today as I had to drive Troye to his appointment. I didn't think it was my mate Connor. I didn't think he worked with officers.

Connor was going to do it as a favour for me as I asked him if he would help Troye.

I have organised to meet up with my friends tonight for a bite to eat. I'm going to discreetly ask Connor if he has feelings for Troye

The dinner went well except I didn't get to talk to Connor but I'm going to tomorrow after work. That was until I got sick.

I had to call in sick the next day and I'm kicking myself as I didn't get to see Connor.

Over the next few days I finally got to see Connor alone. I asked him if he liked Troye and he admitted to me that he did. He admitted he was gay to me as well. He broke down in tears when he admitted it,

It didn't phase me one bit. He is still my best mate. I don't care that he is gay.

I finally talked Connor into asking him out and we are meeting up for dinner here at my house.

Connor finally plucked up the courage to ask Troye out and he said yes. I'm so pleased that Connor finally did it.

My job is done.
