Chapter 14

Troyes POV

After Connor told me he wanted to top after we had fun out looking at different things I nodded my head and said sure you never know I might enjoy this.

Just as we finished we heard the front door slam shut and then footsteps run up the stairs and they stop outside of Connors room and I hear Nicola say Troye can I see you for a minute please.

I pull away from Connor and say yeah just give me a minute. Connor looks at me and says do you want me to go. I shake my head and say it's ok I can do it.

I got up and opened the door a bit and said yeah I will meet you in your room in 5 minutes. I just need to tell Connor something.

I knocked on her door 5 minutes later and her face was pale and pained when she opened it. She ushers me into her room and we sit on the bed. I say what's wrong, you're pale and you have a painful expression on your face. Did someone hurt you? She looked down at her lap and said not really in that way more emotionally.

She looked up at me and said please don't tell Connor but I had sex with my boyfriend last month and he promised he used a condom but he didn't then the other day I got sick so I took a pregnancy test and it was positive but when I told him he didn't take it too well. He punched me in the stomach then threw me out of his house.

I couldn't help but pull her into my arms and say you need to go to the hospital as that is assault. I know you don't want to tell Connor but he needs to know as he can take you to the hospital. I go through cases like yours all the time at work and I know that it is best for you to tell Connor and he can help you. I promise he wont get angry at you. I will make sure of it. I will also go to the hospital with you.

Nicola looks at me with tears in her eyes and says you promise he wont get mad? I say he wont at you but I cant guarantee he wont at your boyfriend. Now I can tell him or I can be here when you tell him as I know he won't be angry at you.

She nodded her head and I got up and walked to Connors room and said babe can you come into Nicolas room with me please she needs to tell you something but first I need you to promise not to get angry? Connor gets up and says babe what happened? Is she ok? I grab his hand and say I will let her tell you but please don't get angry she needs our help.

After Nicola told Connor what happened he jumped up and said right first let's get you to hospital then I'm going to pay a visit to your boyfriend.

I grabbed his hand and said babe calm down please, getting angry is not going to help your sister. Now let's go.

As we got Nicola in the car Connor says what about mum. I promised I would pick her up. I turned to him and said you drop us off then go and get her. You will need to make an excuse as to why we are at the hospital. Connor says yeah ok I will think of something but Nic I think you will need to eventually come clean to mum and dad.

As Connor dropped us off I helped Nicola out of the car lean back in the front and kiss his lips and say I love you please be careful and I promise I will help your sister.

Connor nods and says I love you too babe and thank you so much for helping Nicola out like this. It really means a lot to me.

As I helped Nicola into the emergency room I felt her grab me a bit tighter as I think her legs gave out on her.

I call someone over and ask them to help my sister in law.

After a few hours of being in the hospital with Nicola I finally see Connor walk into her room where we sat.

I jumped up and said babe I was so worried about you what happened.

Connor grabs my hand and says it's ok I will tell you later what happened.

How is it going here? Is she ok?

I led him over to the chair I was sitting on and sat him down on it. I kneeled in front of him and said she had a miscarriage. She collapsed just as we got into the hospital. They have had to give her a small procedure to get rid of it. She is sleeping at the moment as she was so worked up they had to give her a sedative to calm her down.

It was bad baby but she is going to need people around her for the next few days. Not her so-called boyfriend though but I will be having a strong word with him. He cant go around beating women.

Connor puts his hand on my shoulder and says he got a good talking to by me but I will let you finish him off.

Throughout the night we both just sat there not really talking but just being together. I sat in his lap for a bit until I went and got us a coffee each, when I got back Nicola was awake and Connor was sitting next to her on the bed. I hand him his coffee and he says thanks Tro. I really appreciate what you have done for my family babe.

I say it's ok I would do it for my own family if I had one.

Connor gets off the bed and pulls me into his arms and says my family are your family baby.

Nicola looks at us and says what happened to your family Troye.
