"We managed to stabilize your grandmother, Miss Donev," the paramedic began, which let the stone in my heart fall away, but then destroyed my heart again as he continued, "but she's in a coma because her body is so weak that she can barely cope with the disease. Unfortunately, I don't know how long she has or whether her body can withstand a journey to the hospital. You will now decide whether to keep her at home or allow us to take her to the hospital; in any case, she will need to be attached to machines and oxygen. We can provide you with two nurses to care for her 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for a charge, because the hospital is experiencing a staffing problem, and the shortage of two nurses will be felt greatly given that they will only be caring for one patient."

"I will pay you any amount if you are sure that the two women will take care of my grandmother in the best possible way."

"Miss Donev, this is a huge sum of money. Do you really want to keep her at home?" The paramedic's words were already starting to irritate me.

"I just told you that I will pay whatever it costs. If you are unsure if she can withstand a journey to the hospital, I would prefer that she be cared for at home. That way, I'll be able to spend more time with her and ensure she's being cared for as agreed."

"As you wish!" It will cost $300 each day. The payment will be made every weekend, and you will be charged separately for the treatment we will provide her. My colleague will stay with her until the nurse arrives, at which point she will be cared for until the next shift begins tonight. For more details, please contact my colleague."

"Understood! "Thank you so much for everything." I completed the conversation and went inside, where my grandmother was lying in bed. I went up to caress her wrinkled and pale cheek. "I'll make sure you get well, grandma, even if it means spending my last penny." I will be by your side and take care of you, just like you did for me when I needed it. I will fight for you till the end of my strength, but I need you to fight beside me. Don't leave me, grandma, especially now since I need you like breath." I placed my forehead on the bed and began to cry loudly, my spectator being the paramedic, who stared at me with such pity that I expected him to start crying as well.

"Your grandmother is so lucky to have you and believe me, the love you show her will help her tremendously." He finally dares to say.

"I know, and that's why I don't hesitate for a single day to show her how much I love her and show her how grateful I am for everything she's done for me." I reacted by rubbing the top of my grandmother's head.

"I'm not trying to be rude, but could you just tell me where you work? You appear quite familiar to me, and I'm not sure, but I believe I saw you at that strip club before... How was it called?"

"The Manor!" I reminded him, "Because that's where I think you saw me.That is where I work."

"Understood! I apologize; I didn't mean to be disrespectful." The man apologized, flushing.

"That's okay! I am not ashamed to admit that I am a stripper."

"You don't have to feel ashamed. We are all free to practice any career we wish."

"I didn't choose this job, but it chose me, just like the need for money."

"I understand you don't like this job!" the man replied, raising an eyebrow.

"Not at all. As I said before, it chose me, not the other way around."

"Understood! Please know that I sincerely admire your bravery. "This is not something every woman would do for a loved one." He smiled heartily, earning himself another one from me. "It appears that one of my two colleagues has arrived," he said as there was a knock on the door.
