I entered the car, and the first thing I did before driving home was to message Hades and let him know I was going to see him. I aimed to sever all ties with him. I was mentally drained, and physically I sensed I was coming apart. I was so damn tired of his crap. He had to seek another person to play with, since I lacked the patience and the time for his so called smart games.

When I got to Hades' house, I considered placing the stack of money in front of his entrance. I was disgusted by everything that happened and didn't want to see him again, so I placed the stack on the rug in front of the front door, turned on my heels, and walked to the car. I stood there, staring at the house and holding onto the driving wheel tightly.

"Fuck it!" I snarled in annoyance and stepped out of the car again, because I couldn't just leave them there and risk having them stolen.

I rang the doorbell and waited a few seconds, but there was no answer. I tried again, shouting out for Hades and knocking on the door simultaneously, but there was no response.

"He's probably not home," I reasoned, but I wasn't going to visit him again when he was.

Angry and frustrated, I went to the back entrance of the house and tried again, but there was no answer. I tried to enter, and to my surprise, the door was unlocked. I slipped inside and yelled out Hades' name, expecting someone to respond, but I was met with deathly quiet.

I was already furious, and I could feel my face burning with nerves.

I went to the kitchen to leave his money on the table, but just before I left, I heard a boom upstairs, which I assumed came from Hades' bedroom. I gently walked up the stairs, calling his name occasionally, but no one answered, yet as I got to his bedroom door, I noticed it was ajar.

"Hades?" I crept inside, where it was pitch dark despite the fact that it was daylight outside; the feeble light of the lamp reflected on Hades' face, which was turned away from the door, making him appear like a giant shadow sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Fuck!" he growled without looking at me, as if he hadn't known I was there. "Mhhmm." he moaned again, and the way he shook his hand suggested that he was pleasing himself.

I stepped closer to him and peeked over his shoulder, expecting to confirm my thoughts, but what he was doing frightened me to the core. He had a tourniquet around his right arm and a syringe in his left hand, filled with a strange liquid that looked like heroin. He lifted it and gently tapped it with his fingers to level the contents.

"NO!" I shouted and wrenched the syringe from his grasp before he could insert the needle into his vein. I dropped it on the floor and stepped on it until all the liquid poured out and soaked into the carpet, under Hades' startled eyes.

"Stupid bitch!" he hissed menacingly before lunging at me. He grabbed my throat with one hand, shoved me to the floor, and sat on top of me.

I was likewise stunned and began shaking from head to toe, unable to say anything else because, despite the low light in the room, I could still see his infuriated look, which pierced the depths of my being. His eyes were blazing, his face distorted with rage, and his breathing was so erratic that I could almost see flames pouring out of his nostrils.

"Aaahhh!" He roared in my face from deep within his chest as he slammed his fist hard against the floor close to my head, causing me to cringe. "That was my last dose." he laughed angrily, still gazing at me like a lunatic, and even though he wasn't grabbing my throat so hard that I couldn't talk, I was unable to say anything. What am I talking about? I couldn't breathe in dread since I'd never seen him like this before. "I needed that like air, you know?" He was glaring at my body from top to bottom, caressing me from my breasts to my thighs with the hand that had been curled around my throat, and pulling my legs apart to create room between them.
