Finally! It's the weekend and I didn't have any homework to do, so I decided to savor my sleep. When I woke up, I didn't even realize I had overslept. The weather was fine and bright. Creak. My door opened. My mother entered my room to wake me up. I still wanted to sleep so I ignored her. However, she kept insisting I get up. Though I was tired, I forced myself to get up from my bed anyway.

"Ma, ano? Ang aga-aga pa. Weekend na naman." I whined to her.

"May bisita ka, Lia." She answered back.

Who could that be? I ran to the living room. It was Boboy, standing by the couch, all dressed-up, carrying a small plasticware with food inside. Oh gosh, I didn't expect him to visit me. We welcomed him and I introduced him to my mother. He greeted her with respect by doing the mano po gesture. Mom eventually told Boboy to call her Tita Vicky, as my mother's name is Victoria.

He then gave us the food he brought over, and we offered our breakfast food in exchange. Mom asked him questions to get to know him and how we met. Mom was always nice to all of my friends. Later on, she left the two of us alone in the dining area. We ate the food he brought. It was lasagna. I can't believe he brought me my favorite food.

"Si nanay nagluto yan pero yung recipe ay galing sa Ate ko." He shared.

I took a bite.

"Ang sarap. Paborito ko 'to." I told him

"Alam ko. Sinabi mo na yan sa akin dati, kaya napagluto ako kay nanay para ibigay yan sayo." He said.

My heart fluttered that he remembered a little detail about me such as my favorite food. I continued to eat the lasagna, and I even shared it with him. I suddenly reminisced about Yvan's elder sister Ate Sally. She and I really got along. I remembered how Ate Sally welcomed me into their family when Yvan and I were still dating. Without realizing, I found myself sharing to Boboy about my past romance with Yvan again. I didn't mean to do this. I swear I act without thinking, sometimes. Still, he remained silent and just listened to me.

"Sorry, hindi ko sinasadyang pag-usapan yung ex ko, ulit." I apologized to him.

"Okay lang yan." He reassured me.

"Alam kong special at mabait siya na tao." He continued.

I smiled and nodded.

It's been a month, and we've been texting each other, having lunch together at school, and talking after the club meeting. I would sometimes get distracted in my classes because I was thinking of Boboy. I even texted him during my class which annoyed one of my professors. In our conversations, whether face-to-face or through chat, I could tell he was happy as I was with the connection we had built.

We've been spending a lot of time together outside school, too. He still guided me in photo-editing and taking advantage of the mirrorless camera. We were at the park, and I was using his mirrorless camera. He explained to me about the advantages of using that kind type of camera, and I was amazed. I got the hang of of it so I took advantage of it. That was such a romantic way to spend our time together.

I felt myself getting back up after my break-up with Yvan. Love was in the air. However, Boboy hasn't told me about how he feels about me yet. I know, I sounded impatient, but, I was ready to share a whole new life with him. I then shared my special moments with Boboy to Yvan. My best friend deserved to know what was going on in my life. I told him I was patiently waiting for Boboy to court me. I wanted to know Yvan's opinion about my status with Boboy. Surprisingly, Yvan and I agreed that we should take a chance on romance again. I felt really happy to hear that.
