The next day someone found a body.
Jay was found dead with his throat slit on the side of a random street. No one in that world could have possibly killed him. The only explanation that stands is suicide.
As the teacher spoke, the words gradually became clearer and more vivid, pulling back to full consciousness with each passing moment. Jay had successfully transferred his soul into a new body.
"Jay? Jay, wake up!"
"Huh?" Jay opened his eyes finding himself in a middle school classroom.
"Jay, you should be paying more attention..."
"What?" Jay said as he regained his consciousness.
"...you have been sleeping in class very often lately. We need to have a chat after class." the teacher said worried.
Class ended, and everyone left. Everyone but Jay and the teacher, of course.
"Jay, listen. Lately, it seems that your mind is going places. You haven't been paying attention to any of the classes you're attending. If there is something that's bothering you, you can always te-..."
"No, no no no no, everything's finee!" said Jay as he was looking around trying to find a way to get out of this situation.
To the teacher, this person did not feel like it was Jay. That quiet, anxious boy he was just moments ago, the person he was before class had started—was gone?
Suddenly, someone was knocking on the door.
"Come in!" the teacher said as he saw a young man go into the room.
"Excuse me, am I interrupting something?" Johan asked politely. He didn't look ordinary either, with his purple eyes, short light purple hair, and a muscular physique that wasn't as obvious at first glance.
"And who might you be, young man?"
"Name's, Johan, a friend of Jay's," said he as he offered a handshake. "A pleasure."
"I have never seen you around. Say, which school do you go to?"
"Oh, no, I'm not from around here. I just came here to visit a few friends and then I go back to my home country."
"Ahh, I see."
"Uh, excuse me, but the teacher and I were kind of in the middle of something, so if you could leave I would be most grateful," Jay said, annoyed, with a big smile on his face.
"All right then," Johan said with a smile.
"Thanks," Jay exclaimed.
"You know Jay, that wasn't polite of you; you should go apologize to him." The teacher couldn't help but feel that something was still off—the way that Jay was behaving and the way that he looked. It was almost like he was a different person. Little does he know...
Jay's expression turned cold as he was looking at the floor.
Johan heard a loud boom from within the room. Moments later, Jay opens the door and snaps his fingers. He was standing hiding behind the door.
"What's up?" asked Jay
"What do you mean "what's up"? You have to cooperate more when u text."
"Oh yeaaah, what about it?"
"Im, going to kill you," Johan responded looking a bit disappointed.
"You surely can try" Jay smiled.
"Yeah yeah, let's just go meet up with the others," said Johan walking away with Jay following suit, getting out of the classroom and closing the door behind him, rushing to go outside.
"A few of them have already left town a while ago but a few are still here, but, I dont exactly know where though."
"Ah, I see." Jay mockingly said as he opened his phone. "No new texts." he thought.
Johan chuckles. "Let's just go find them."
"Ha, yeah, yeah, sure." Jay puts his phone in his pocket.
