7. The Dead Man

"Huh?"

Jay looked up only to see Blue looking at him confused.

"Why didn't you kill the guy?"

"I don't want him dead just yet, he might be useful."

"Oh?" Blue was curious. "In what way, do tell."

"He was lying about there not being a cure for this curse? Poison? Whatever it doesn't matter."

Jay possesses four powerful abilities, each unique in its own way if used properly. He has "Skullk," "Crime is Money," "The Infinite Truth," and "Perfect Memory."

"The Infinite Truth" grants Jay the ability to detect lies. Additionally, he can discern details about someone by observing their reactions to facts or information mentioned to them, down to the smallest detail.

"I've already analyzed the curse that was placed on you, and it seems to be imbued with a reality deal!"

"I see, Interesting."

"I like how you guys use your little brains to get out of situations like this. I can tell that you already have ideas on how to escape this very unfortunate situation of yours, but let me tell you something..."

There was a pause in Blue's speech.

"...I just wont let you deal with this as easily as you think!"

Lora approached Ema and tugged on her clothes to get her attention.

"Huh?"

Ema turned around to see Lora, who appeared very sad and on the verge of tears.

"Jay..."

"What did HE DO? Ill kill em!"

"No, no, no, Its not that its just that..."

"Yeah?"

Lora's mood shifted rapidly.

"As you might know, Im quite skilled at detecting magic, such as traps or where a spell is directed from."

"What about it?" Amantii turned around.

"As some of you guys saw, Jay got scratched by a knife from that guy in the purple suit."

"Yeah, Jay got hurt really badly," Lukas said sarcastically, his gaze fixed on the cage where Sylvia was captured.

"But that knife had something, it was weird..."

"You probably shouldn't worry, Jay probably has it covered, besides, Blue is here!" Said Mar while pointing at them.

"Might I add?" Lora interjected with a casual tone. "Besides us, Jay, and Blue, I detect two more life forms around us."

Everyone who heard that statement immediately stopped what they were doing and turned their gaze to one place, yet no one seemed to be there. That side was empty of people, but everyone was looking at that spot as if someone were there.

"Haha, they stopped moving!" Lora remarked in a childish way.

Without wasting a second, Johan mercilessly unleashed his electricity, attacking the entire area.

Due to his nullifying ability, only one person was revealed: a girl with short blonde hair and red eyes, twitching in place from the onslaught of electricity. However, despite her discomfort, she wore a big, sinister smile on her face.

Seconds later, a portal opened beneath Sylvia's legs in the cage, and she fell right through it.

"Hehe!" chuckled Kelly, the girl enduring the electric shock.
