- Sarah's POV -
"Well, I didn't want to only talk about Lewis, actually. I'm home early because I asked for some days off so we can go on holiday next week." - Dad said, smiling to me.
"That sounds great, dad, thank you. Where are we going?" - I wanted to know, hopping we were going to the beach, I missed it. We used to go to all summers together as our family holidays.
"Get ready because we're going to Brazil next week!" - He sounded really excited, and I'm not gonna lie, I was feeling the same. We've never been to Brazil the three of us together. My parents did a few times in the past, but before I was born, I didn't know the country.

After the talk with my dad, the day continued with its normal activities. I spent the afternoon reading and listening to music, while my dad tried to repair something in the garden, and my mom hung out with some friends in the city. I did myself some mate (argentinian drink, the easiest way to explain what is it, is to say it's like tea but it takes a different preparation) and went to my room to watch some youtube videos. Of course, I ended up watching the same 5 videos that I've already watched, like 20 times, all related to Formula 1 content.
Since it's only January, I'm missing the races and the media content from the teams. It's a sport I've been following since 2021, and I love it. It's true that these last seasons were a bit boring, more if you're not a Max or Red Bull fan. I'm more of a Mercedes girl since I started following the sport thanks to Lewis Hamilton, but I also like Ferrari. Like Seb once said, everybody is a Ferrari fan. I really hope one day I have the opportunity to go to a Grand Prix, I want to see all the action live, but it's expensive to go there and don't want my parents to spend that much money on some tickets. I'll have to start working so I can make my own money and can actually save to attend a race.

When my mom came back, we prepared to have dinner, and I wanted to know more about the plans we had for Brazil.
"How many days are we spending there? I'm gonna read some info about the city and some activities to do there, also we need some relaxing days so I need to know how many days we have." - I started the conversation.
"A week and a half." - My mom told me. - "But don't worry too much with planning, we can see once we're there. Your dad and I didn't have many things to do besides going to the beach when we were there, and I doubt it changed a lot since then."
"You'll have time to swim in the sea, don't worry about that. This holiday is more to relax and not really to get to know the city, we'll have more opportunities in the future to come back probably"- My dad said calmly. He was right. We could use some days without worries, just chilling at the beach.
"Well, then I'm just gonna focus on packing. I'm already thinking about the clear sea where I'm gonna swim. By the way, when are we leaving?"
"Monday morning we're gonna leave to the airport, the flight is at 2 pm."
I had two complete days to pack, not that I need too much time to be honest. Silvia, my mom, was another story. I don't know how she hasn't started packing yet. She's the kind of person who needs days to get ready. Probably I'm starting Sunday afternoon, there's no need to freak out.

As predicted, the next two days before leaving, my mom was going around the house all day getting things she (we) would need for the trip. It was better not to get in the middle of her way when she packed, it just stressed the woman more.Monday came and we got ready to go to the airport. As soon as we arrived, we went to do the check-in so we didn't have to go around with our luggage through the airport. I got an iced coffee for breakfast because otherwise, I wouldn't talk to anyone for the rest of the journey. I'm not a morning person, and being in a place really big such an airport with so many people made my mood a mess.
Luckily, the trip didn't take long and it was quite calm. Soon enough, we arrived in Brazil. Our hotel was pretty big and was just next to the beach, nothing better to start. We got to our room, and I immediately changed into my bikini to go to the beach. My mom stayed at the hotel to unpack everything and lay a bit after that, so I went with my dad to swim in the beach.
Our first day was pretty chill, just spent the afternoon at the beach. At night we went to a restaurant on the same block the hotel was, it was really cool and the vibes were excellent to go on with our holidays.

"Do we have plans for tomorrow?" - My mom asked while we were waiting for our dessert after dinner.
"You two do, actually. Sarah and you're going on a boat excursion." - David wasn't going because he always gets dizzy when he is on a boat, so it was clever not to step into one.
"But what are you gonna do if you don't come with us, dad?"
"Maybe I gonna run around the city if it's not too hot." - He actually had plans but didn't want to tell Sarah just yet.
He was going to see Lewis since he was too there in Brazil, the main reason why the family was there. He'd been talking with his friend for over a month and was excited waiting to meet him after so many years. David wanted to meet him to update on both of their lifes, before getting Sarah to meet his godfather, to make sure Lewis was okay with that and not to make the encounter between the two of them awkward. The most important part was that after so many years, the family was gonna be together again, at least for a few days. But the bond will just grow between the four of them.
