While Sarah and Silvia went to the little harbor where the boat for the excursion was waiting, David texted Lewis to let him know that he was leaving the hotel to meet him. Both friends agreed to meet in a restaurant at the beach that was halfway from both of them, mostly because David didn't rent a car for those days, so he went by walking everywhere.
Half an hour later, David arrived and waited for Lewis outside since he was early and didn't know if they had a reservation or not. Lewis spotted his friend as soon as he parked his car in front of the restaurant, David looked almost the same as he remembered. When they both noticed each other, they got all excited like they were those kids back from England again.
"Hey man! So glad to see you again. It's been ages." - Lewis told his friend, reaching him for a hug.
"Can't believe that after all these years, we got to meet again."
"Right you're my friend. Oh my God David, I can't believe this. We have like 15 years to catch up with." - Lewis said while laughing, and they got into the restaurant.
"Well, my life hasn't changed that much since we moved to Argentina and last saw you. Your life has always been more interesting." - David teased his friend. He knew a bit about Lewis' life, but knowing his friend, he's not gonna talk about himself.
"I'm here to hear about your life, mate. And, of course, about your family. How are the three of you doing?."
"I'm still working in the company, and like I told you on text, things are going amazing at work. Silvia's still teaching English, but now, for a high school from our neighborhood. She loved coming back to her country." - He explained before the waitress came to get their order.
"You got used to speaking Spanish, didn't you? I remembered you weren't that good with it back in the day." - Lewis teased David. It felt like no year passed for their friendship.
"Yeah, you remember well. It was a mess for the first years, Silvia helped a lot though. I got a bit better then, not a really good student if you ask my dear wife. At home, we'll mostly talk English at first. But when Sarah started going to school, she'd speak in Spanish without thinking about it. Now she talks in Spanish just to piss me off."
"How's she? I remember buying her a teddy bear and thinking all the time about which cool toy I could get her next." - Lewis felt a bit sad saying that. He missed so much of Sarah's life, and he was ready to make it up to his friend and his daughter.
"She has such a funny personality, you'll love her."
"I know that for a lot of years, we didn't have contact, but sometimes I'd think about the three of you. I should've contacted you earlier. Family has always been really important for me and you're part of it, too. So I wanted to say sorry. We missed so many years, but now we have the opportunity to get them back from here. Only if you allow me, of course."
"If I didn't, I wouldn't have met you today, mate. Nothing to be sorry about, it was a mistake from both of us. I had all the moving to another country drama, and you had that amazing opportunity on your job. It's understandable, I'm just glad we're here now."
"Thanks, I really appreciate it. Tell me more about Sarah." - Lewis was curious and wanted to know more about his goddaughter.
"She's really a character once you get to know her. At first, she's really shy and won't talk to you unless you start asking her to. It's kind of funny, because she gets all shy and a bit awkward, but her personality completely changes once she trusts you and shows herself 100%"
Both friends catched up while having lunch, and they talked both their heads off, not that the other really cared. They'd meet again in three days to get the family back together once again. David was so happy to have his best friend back in his life, no one was whipping his smile away any time soon.

On a little island, near where both friends had lunch, Silvia and Sarah were having a lovely girls-only day. A much needed mother-daughter moment, both of them enjoying the day. On the island, there were a lot of people selling different things. Collars, simple jewelry, souvenirs from the country, food. Silvia loved those kinds of markets, so they spent a lot of time there deciding what to buy.
After getting back into mayland, both women went back to the hotel. David wasn't there yet, so they went to the spa that the hotel had to get some massage and a skincare routine. They had an amazing time there, and the spa's stuff treated them like they were royalty. Five stars services if you ask them.
"Where's dad? He's not back yet." - Sarah asked her mother while they both were sitting aside the pool outside.
"He texted me a few minutes ago. He went to visit the city a bit to make some plans for the rest of the days here."
"Oh, well, he better be back soon because I'm starving. I could eat a hole elephant at this point."
"Sweetie, relax and don't be dramatic. I'm gonna text him so he can get us some food, we could have dinner at the beach tonight." - Silvia said laughing at her daughter's drama queen moment.
"That'll be really cute. I like your idea, I want to see the stars without so much light from the city."
Another core memorie was on its way for her family. A simple dinner, some sandwiches and drinks, at the beach. After that, Sarah was left to tell her dad about the girls day they had with Silvia. Before getting back to the hotel, Sarah got her headphones and connected them to her cellphone. With music blasting, she laid down and looked at the sky and all the stars that were there shining.
