Krux watched Acronix walk to the main hall closely. He let out a frustrated sigh and rolled the chair to the room he'd spoken of earlier.

He pushed back one of the old serpentine thrones revealing the doorway and he carefully rolled Elaine inside.

He picked her up and carried her to a cot he'd put in for those nights he worked super late. He laid her down and covered her.

He left a note for her after she woke up along with a key to his apartment.

Stepping out, he shut the door and slid the chair back up. He made his way back to the office and grabbed the empty vials, sliding them into his pocket. He made sure to delete the footage on all cams, as he'd done before and called it a system glitch, from the time where he had come back in and the twins left with her.

He picked up the cup and thoroughly rinsed it before crumbling it and tossing it in the trash.

He exited the office before heading to the hall. Had he left enough time for the others to think he'd helped Elaine?

Surely he'd have to think up some sort of lie regardless. Everyone always believed him anyway. What could go wrong?

He could hear distant conversation between his brother and Brendan. Nothing too bad,

"What if something else happens here?" That question had intent behind it. Krux could feel it.

"Like what?" Brendan asked Acronix what he meant.

"Have you heard the legend of the Hands of Time?" Krux could feel Acronix, he was definitely about to do something Krux would regret.

"Yes." Krux's 'Sander' voice caught him off guard. "It is quite the popular story here. A fantastic lesson to never take what you have for granted."

Nix turned around and curled his top lip up. Had his brother really turned their life into a lesson about that? "A great lesson to teach the young generations of Ninjago." He replied in his own bubbly tone.

"Did you find anything?" Brendan asked.

Sander shook his head. "It shows her getting back out of her car, but then nothing else. It's like the video cuts out. Modern technology is always doing things like that. I just had them serviced as well."

"Maybe she's still here somewhere?"

Acronix shot his brother a look.

Krux could hear the thought. 'I had suggested to just leave her on the floor.'

Krux shot back a more discreet look.

Acronix got his brothers thought. 'Megan could easily recall the events when she wakes.'

Acronix scoffed in the back of his mind. "Maybe we should look for her? What does she look like?" He turned back to the group.

Brendan quickly pulled out his phone and unlocked it showing a picture of the three of them. Himself, Megan, and Sander. It took every ounce of his will to not scrunch his nose.

Krux looked so rediculously happy with these kids. It was gross.

"Poor girl. What about Elaine?" Acronix turned back to his brother with a smirk.

"She's going home. Just in case Megan comes back." Sander replied.

"Should we split into groups?" One man suggested.

"Why? Are you scared Colonel?" The other man asked.

"No, Primenger, I'm not scared. If she went missing, who's to say one of us won't?"
