Seokjin p.o.v

It was almost 8 in the morning when I finally arrived at Yoongi's house. Namjoon was literally shaking up with excitement to start his lesson asap but Yoongi didn't let him until we finish his toasts with scrambled eggs.

And after the breakfast, Yoongi excused himself and dragged me into his room. He closed the door behind him and turned to me with a serious look on his face.

"Why didn't you arrive at the clinic last Thursday?" He hissed in slight anger. "I thought I wrote you an appointment, didn't I?"

I switched my weight onto the left leg and bit the insides of my cheeks, wondering whether I should tell him the truth. About stepping into the second pace.

"Seokjin, are you friggin' listening to me?" Yoongi frowned.

I felt tears threatening to fall from my eyes so I took a deep breath. Controlled my tears. Then I spoke in a low trembling voice.

"I-I don't think I'm gonna make it."

Yoongi looked at me with a bewildered expression. Then he blinked, the anger melting into concern.

"I promise, you will m-"

"I won't, okay?" I practically cried. "I know I won't. I-It's just getting worse. I-I...I  coughed up blood yesterday."

There was a deafening silence inside the room for a minute. At first Yoongi was shocked then his expression turned into a thoughtful one. His mind seemed to be running at seventy miles per hour. Then he inhaled deeply and talked.

"Look, I've known both you and Taehyung since middle school, right?"

I nodded, fighting my tears.

"And....well, i'm sorry for saying this but your brother's a total asshat. He always had been. Am I right?"

I nodded again. Of course everyone knew that.

"So... what you've already said to me, it made me realize that Taehyung's kinda mistreating your Jungkook. You weren't pin pointing at him directly but... I would know that from your body language. Right?"

I hummed. Not surprised.

"I think you should confess him."

Then, I was surprised. I looked at him with widened eyes and stuttered, "W-What?"

Yoongi sighed. "You heard me Jin"

"W-What?" I said again.

"Snap out of it for god's sake Jin. You deserve him. In fact, you deserve everything. I promise Taehyung wouldn't mind. He'll find someone new before even the sun set. Trust me."

I shook my head violently. "No Yoongi, you don't get it. I-It's true that Taehyung hurts him but he still loves him. I can't be the guy who'd come between them. Besides, why on earth would Jungkook agree to be my boyfriend? What makes him think I'd be better than my asshole brother? I-I could be the same."

"But you're aren't, right?" Yoongi said, calmly.

I stared at him quietly. He had a dead serious look in his eyes as he spoke again.

"You don't have time for nonsense now. I'm afraid that pace three symptoms would show up soon enough where it'd be too late to save yourself. So do what's right, you hear me? You need to pull yourself together. Alright?"

"What if he don't like me that way?" I asked, pain evident in my shaky voice. "You know, I've always been a hyung in his eyes."

"Well, I'm sure he'd accept you because of a psychological theorem. You know, while Taehyung is being an asshole to him, you become his comfort zone. You listen to him well, take care of him like he's your own boyfriend. Now, what would that make you to him? A confidante. You are his confidante. And usually, they falls in love with each other. That's what the theory says, anyway."

I listened to him and felt it slowly dawning upon me. The truth.

Yoongi came close to me and gave a pat on my back. "You got this, alright?"

.........................

When we got back to the garden to join Namjoon, I saw a human dummy placed at the corner where the target board had been the last day.

He welcomed us with a wide grin and handed me my favorite. The .22 pistol. Then he gave Yoongi the big rifle for which he rolled his eyes. Still not good with small weapons.

Then Namjoon taught me to aim properly. He unfolded my right arm horizontally- which I held my gun- and made me grip it's wrist using the other hand.  Then he tilted my head to right and instructed me to look at the target over the view of the barrel. I composed myself and pulled the trigger. I heard a deafening blast as the bullet released from the muzzle. It whizzed through the air and hit the dummy's neck.

I shot again. This time the bullet sank into it's shoulder.

"God, this is like a bloodbath on Christmas Eve." Yoongi whined, tightening his hold on the rifle with fear. Namjoon chuckled and kissed his forehead telling him not be scared of anything as long as he's there with him.

Then he taught me about a special technique which made my interest in weapons go double. Something named 'Double Tap'.

So a double tap meant firing two shots in rapid succession at the same target. It's an efficient way to ensure the accuracy of the shot cuz most of the time, the second one ends it right.  But obviously, only a highly trained person could do it right.

Next, he showed me the effective spots to shoot on a human body. The belly button, under the temples, center of the forehead, through an ear..... It wasn't that pleasant, listening to them but Namjoon made it sound interesting enough.

Yoongi ended the lesson by shooting a  cement vase nearby. He started hyperventilating  after seeing the pieces of his precious flower bed and we called it an end.

I stayed with them for another hour for lunch and stepped out after Namjoon promised me to teach how to  recognize bullet shell types the next day.

When I reached home, I noticed that Jungkook had already  left.  I asked Taehyung about him and he told me Jungkook stormed out after their second round of... well, animalistic sex.

"Stupid little rat didn't want to go for the third." He said, munching on his orios. "He's being fucking difficult nowadays."

And that moment, I made up my mind to do what Yoongi told me. He was right. I deserve Jungkook and nobody else does.
