House of Old Faces

After the Anubis alumni all left Anubis house, the residents had all gone back to Anubis house. Emily stayed at the school to speak with her father. 

"You coming?" Raphael asked her, as they all walked towards the exit. 

"No, I'll catch up," she said. "I'm gonna go say bye to my dad," 

Raphael nodded, and Emily walked over to where his classroom was. He wasn't inside, but the papers they had just turned in were on his desk. She snuck over, and looked for hers, and noticed that it was on top of a leather notebook with a weird symbol on it. 

"Dad's journal," she began, opening it. 

Inside, she saw a page about the Chosen One, and another titled the Osirian. Before she could read, she was startled by her father's voice. 

"You need to be getting back to Anubis house," Mr Leo told her. 

"I thought we could spend some more time together, like we used to," Emily said, closing it quickly. 

"You have lots of studying to do," he told her. "I don't want Mr. Sweet catching you here too late. There's responsibilities for you at the house," 

"Can we at least go to town this week?" she asked. 

"Well, alright," he said. "I have some grading to do, so please head back before it gets too dark," 

Emily nodded, and watched as he covered the book with the papers. 

"I'll see you in class tomorrow," she said. "Night, dad," 

As she left, he sat down and let out a sigh of relief. He opened it, and then tore a page out, and put it into his pocket.

The next day at the school, Eddie was visiting his father in his office, and having lunch with him. 

"So, you didn't really tell me how the reunion at Anubis went?" he asked. 

"It was great," Eddie said. "Nina went, cool to see her back. Trudy showed us some old photo albums of all of us. Hilarious stuff," 

"That Trudy," Mr. Sweet said, biting into his fish sandwich. "Running the house all while taking a job at the florist shop in town,"

The two were interrupted with a knock at the door. 

"Come in," Mr. Sweet said. 

Eddie turned, and was surprised to see Jerome's sister Poppy walk in. 

"Hi," she smiled. 

"Hey Poppy," Eddie said. "Dad, I'll let you go,"

Eddie walked out, and Poppy gave him a weak smile as he walked out. 

"Nice to see you Poppy," Mr. Sweet said. "What can I do for you?"

"I was just wondering if you had my academic file in the system still," Poppy said. 

"I sure do," Mr. Sweet told her. "I can email it to you, if you'd like," 

"That would be great," Poppy said. 

"Jerome said you were studying at university," Mr. Sweet said. 

"Yes, I am," Poppy said, nervously. "If you could send that, I would appreciate it," 

Poppy then walked out of the office, and saw Joy and Eddie talking. 

"Poppy," Joy smiled, running over, and giving her a hug. 

"Hey," Poppy said. 

"Jerome didn't tell me you were here?" 

"Surprise visit,"
