Chapter 30: Marry Me

HISTORIA'S POV

The darkness feels almost like an eternity.

The last thing I know is that I'm resting my head on Erwin's chest as he carries me from the floor.

I open my eyes and find myself lying on the bed. I quickly look to my front and see my body is covered with blanket.

I divert my attention to my side and see Rico lying right beside me half naked. She's not wearing her glasses anymore and she's currently sleeping, perhaps still unconscious. There's a makeshift bondage made out of cloth running around her body to cover the wound from her back.

Wait a minute... I remember that I'm almost naked.

I quickly lift the blanket and see myself wearing a big shirt covering down to the upper portion of my thighs.

I remember.... This is from Erwin...

Where is he?

I decided to check Rico out. I wake up from the bed to check her wound, I gently lift her shoulder revealing the gunshot  from the upper portion of her back near to her  right shoulder.

"I'm sorry Historia that's all I can do. I have to stuff something inside her wound to stop the bleeding, fortunately the bullet is far from her lungs."

I gently lie down Rico as I turn around to see Erwin who just closed the door that leads to the tunnel where Zachary and him came.

"You shouldn't be sorry." I say. I can't help not see his abs because he is completely topless, only wearing a black pants.

"I see." Erwin says.

There's a long silence as a I didn't notice I'm staring awkwardly to his body.

"Is there something wrong?"

I shake my head leaving myself from trance.

"No it's just..." I say. "I have a lot of things to ask after all these years."

In all these years I'm still surprised that he is still in shape.

"Yeah, I kind of expected that." Erwin says, there's a hint sadness in his tone. "Just ignore Zachary and his men."

He points towards the side of the bed from Rico's side. I notice there's a pile of men lying dead on the floor with Zachary on the top with a bullet whole in his forehead.

I shake my head as I sigh in disbelief.

"First of all what happened, where's everyone?" I ask. "Have you already went upstairs? I have soldiers surrounding this palace."

"Not anymore." Erwin says. "The entire Military Police just arrived and arrested all of your mens."

"What about the Soldiers of Zachary?" I ask. "They're still upstairs right?"

"Fortunately, Zachary only brings handful of men with him when he entered the secret passage. He is planning to bring me with him to another undisclosed location... You arrived just in time thanks to you." Erwin says. "Actually this is where I spent my four years."

I pull the blanket down towards Hitch and sit on the bed.
I close my legs pushing my shirt down to my thighs to hide my legs, I feel my bra falls from my chest. I forgot that Zachary snapped the straps, thanks to Erwin shirt it covers it.

"Take a sit." I say feebly.

I awkwardly gesture to him with my hands  to sit right beside me as I move aside to give space.

He nods whilst he feebly smile.

We sit awkwardly in silence for about a minute.

"I'm wondering, have you ever tried to escape.." I say.  "Or maybe use your influence? You just massacred those four soldiers earlier."
